Vaporeon Pup by michelle192837 Vaporeon Pup by michelle192837
Not much time to submit, so I'll just say sorry it took so long, but I DID get my half of the art trade done, Rebecca. ^^

For :iconumeiwa:
Done with Micron pens and Prismacolor Colored Pencils
Time: A few hours. *shrugs*

Oh, yeah. Rebecca, you can have the original when we're back in school. ^^

For now, I'm off the computer for a week, so...yep. ^^ Don't post too many deviations...

Heh, thanks. ^^ I'm amazed people are still finding this.

Probably because I don't post enough, I'd say. ^^ I only put something up every once in a blue moon.

EEEEEE~! Thank you~~!! :D Yay, it's so adorable! ^o^ The extra pokemon and coral in the background are very detailed and add to the piece's colorful boldness. It's such a lighthearted piece~~ =w=
Okay, some critique. This may just be a stylistic difference, but I like the bolder, blended coloring (like on the dark blue of Vaporeon's backfin, and the seashell) as opposed to the lines used for shading Vaporeon and the background. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think it just makes the contrast between the colors too high and it sticks out. Lighting seems fine, though I wonder why there's highlights on Vaporeon's bottom. XD
I've never been too sure about animal anatomy so I can never provide much help on that. XD;; I love the pose though.
Oh, the piece should have bubbles~! :3
Anyway, I still love the picture very much; thanks for finished the arttrade~! >w<

Oh, and are you sure you want to give me the original...? I mean, I don't have a print of my trade or anything to give you. X3 Just make me a photocopy, since I think you should keep the original.

Thanks! ^^
Heh...a little laziness from me. ^^ Oops. I still really don't like coloring huge swatches of color...which is weird, since it's on a 6"x9" piece of Bristol. Maybe I'll go fix it...
Um...the highlights are because of the sand reflecting light? Though they should be yellowish then...
Eh, whatever. XD
Thanks! ^^ I had to ink the darn thing twice--I had one of the back legs in a very awkward, skeleton-stretched kind of pose. It wasn't pretty.

ZOMG BUBBLES! *headdesk* Duh! How could I forget?

Eh, I don't really care either way. ^^ I mean, I might as well hand over the original--you know me and how I carry most of my stuff. I mean, do you know how I stored all my stuff from TS?
*yanks open dresser drawers*
There you go. Two full drawers--at least 20 lbs.--of paper. I think that would scare any piece of art.
And besides, I've got it preserved on DA and my dad's computer, so I think I'm good. ^^

Bristol...? No idea. XD
Thanks again for the art trade, I forgot to :+fav: it... -facepalm- X3

Oh, I've got a super big drawer full of TS papers too~!! XD;; I moved it to a large box over the summer though. I used to have all my work starting from kindergarten in a large cardboard box, but we recycled it a couple years back... >-<

Adorable. The colors look beautiful (I really like how you did the water and the shell), and the shading is nice and smooth.

The left Marill's position in the background looks kind of weird, like it's balancing by its hand or something... I think it might have looked a little better put lower to be standing on the rock/ground behind it, or more clear if it's floating.

Thanks! ^^
Yeah, now that I look at it...It is supposed to be floating, but it looks like it's kinda grabbing onto the sponge.
Thanks very much, though. ^^
