personal tribute to "Dungeons & Dragons" ( mixed media: acylics and digital painting) I've started to play D&D, and I must say I really like it ! in this scene, we were fighting a blue dragon!

This artwork is nothing short of amazing! I cannot stop myself from giving my critique for artwork with legit reason so here I go!

First off, I never in my entire life though about doing mixed media that included acrylics and digital art. It is a fantastic idea, as usually one would think mixed media as combining two traditional mediums, such as graphite and watercolor for example. On top of that, there is a seamless flow between the acrylic and digital mediums. When I first saw this, I would have not have ever guessed what mediums you used and on top of that I cannot tell where you used what medium. You effectively mixed the mediums together in such a way that it does not distract the observer.

The color scheme that is present is now one of my favorites. Now I have never played the game, but I hope it is as visually pleasing as this. I like how you made the light source match the color of the light being emitted. Continuing with the light, you also were able to use multiple light sources and have it blend in nicely together. My favorite has to be the striking contrast from the dark, earth color scheme to the magic (I think it is magic) coming from the dragon. The colors not only match the main color scheme, but they also create a striking contrast. Each color I see in the magic coming from the dragon I see its relation to the main color scheme, especially on the dragon. Instead of making the emitting light white, you made it so it would match the color emitted, which unifies the two color schemes. Having two contrasting color schemes is hard to pull off from my experience, and you did it beautifully.

Movement is the main thing I have noticed in your artwork. The way you composed this piece to make my eyes move from the dragon, through its magic, to the ground and back up is visually pleasing. It catches the viewers attention more because movement gives life to the scene, which is actually pretty crucial to this artwork (it is a fighting scene, so the viewers have to be engaged). Another part that I love is that your artwork seems in action. None of the characters seem to be standing in place, but instead they are a part of the scene. Your use of movement helps the viewers see the entire piece, which is actually the hardest part because no one thinks about it.
Lastly, your composition and technique is neat. Starting with technique, You have put in the right amount of detail throughout the entire piece. It's great that you did not overload the piece with detail because too much detail would hurt the movement you have. I am also glad that you did not forget about the background. It adds to the mood of the atmosphere and makes the artwork more complete. As for composition, I enjoy the new perspective. In this angle the viewer can see the action and he or she feels like they are in part of the game instead of just watching it.

This is one artwork is a prime example of how to use the principles and elements of design effectively. Overall, this artwork makes my art mind fill with so much joy that I will probably need to take a break from being so ecstatic. :)
