The Potential Of Nintendo - Essay

You know, Nintendo?  That little videogame company over in Japan?  Been around for decades? Okay, so the title of this essay seems a little strange given the massive success this company has had over the years.  Even in recent years with the missteps of the WiiU, the company is still financially healthy with around ten-and-a-half billion dollars in the bank according to one article.  It further claimed that Nintendo could operate at a massive loss (over a quarter billion dollars) for the next 38 years and still be solvent. http://www.gamesradar.com/nintendo-doomed-not-likely-just-take-look-how-much-money-its-got-bank/ "Buried in reams of

That Special Someplace

Most couples have that special someplace.  That spot where the memories were born and the love nurtured.  The place where you first realized or went to remind yourself or took for granted until it all became memory.  That someplace where you feel yourself living in the moment. It was our second date and she had invited me to go for a walk in the park near work.  I’d only driven past the park before, but thought it looked beautiful and always wanted to find the time to go there.  I was excited to be seeing it with her. She had been there before, so when we got there I let her lead.  She seemed a little quieter than the last date, which

Memories Of Heavens Past

I remember the stars.  The sky littered with tiny points of light with a ribbon of milky white where the stars become indistinguishable from one another.  This was always my favorite part of camping.  Being away from the city lights and in view of the naked heavens.  It made me feel dizzy, like I might fall off the side of the planet. Where I live now, there is only a sad imitation of that sky.  Few enough stars that I could probably count them all.  Few enough that the directions to Neverland make sense. Few enough that it isn’t worth a second glance. I recently stood in a park and looked up at the night sky.  It still failed to liv

"I hear you", she tells me while curled up in my lap like a cat.  Her brunette mane spilling over my leg as she looks up at me with those gorgeous green eyes. "I can hear you" she repeats.  I haven't said a word, but I'm apparently thinking rather loudly.  About sex.  About her body.  About the way she smells and tastes.   About my mouth on her and hers on mine and all the sweet and dirty things to follow. This is what she hears. What she doesn't hear is the moments after.  About laying together, cozy under the covers and in one another's arms.  The moments before with foreheads touching.  Sharing each others breath with eyes closed

First time at Anime Expo!

First time at Anime Expo!

Hey guys!  So, for the first time in a long time, I'm attending a convention purely as an attendee.  I think it will be a nice break to go to a con just to enjoy myself and not have it be for work. Anyway, I'm only attending for the one day (friday) to kind of check it out.  I haven't been to an anime convention in many years.  And even then, Fanime , though a lot of fun, wasn't nearly as big as AX looks.  So, if any of you have some advice for things I should be looking out for or avoiding all together, please let me know.  I want to make the most of the one day I'm there. Oh, and if anyone is interested, I'll probably take lots of picture

Wondercon Approaches

Wondercon Approaches

So, my first convention of the year is looking to be Wondercon in Anaheim.  No table this year, but wandering about and catching up with friends should be good times.  I still wish this show was back up in San Francisco.  It was my excuse to go up and visit every year.  Oh well.  Maybe Image Expo next year. Anyway, who else is going?  What are you looking forward to?  If you've ever had a table at Wondercon while in Anaheim, how was it?  Worth doing?  Let me know. Next update coming...in less than a year.  I promise.
