Thank you, Toriyama-san (Tribute)

(DBZRemixes - "Forever (R.I.P. Toriyama)")

I know that I'm late, but no time like the present right?

Two days ago last year, Akira Toriyama; creator of such iconic manga/anime series such as Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, and Sand Land, passed away after working on his last piece of work, 'Dragon Ball Daima', by acute subdural hematoma (as in he hit his head really hard). Much like a majority of the people who grew up loving and inspired by his work, I was devastated by this great loss. This man who lived so far away from me and whom I never even met had helped in shaping me into the person I am today, and his influence has certainly rubbed on not just me, but plenty of other artists and creators. And just like that, he was taken from all of us. We may never heal from this, but if there's anything I learned from Son Goku (his greatest creation other than Android 21), is that death is not always the end. It's just another path in life. And even if Dragon Ball lost it's creator and it's story is incomplete to some, I trust that Toyotarou will take good care of the franchise moving forward.

So, what better way to honour this lost legend than by having me draw a tribute piece to the man himself. Basically, Goku takes me to Other World to meet with Tori-Bot (Toriyama's own persona he usually draws himself as. Although I personally like my own design of him more), shaking his hand and thanking him for all that he's done for the world, including me.

Thank you so, so much Toriyama-san. After everything, you could do with a break. And unlike some members of the Dragon Ball community, whenever it came to some of your newer works... I never doubted you for a second (like when you recently made Super Saiyan 4 canon in Daima, heck yeah!).

I put maximum effort into this. (This practically took me an entire day to work on so you BETTER LIKE IT!!!!)

If you like my art, please tell me what you like about it.
