WBY: Fat-tailed Arrowhead

Arrowheads, thanks to their ability to utilize magical Residue for a variety of tasks, have filled a wide range of niches in the Basin formerly occupied by other small reptiles and amphibians. This juvenile fat-tailed arrowhead occupies the same niche as "Old World" toads, and is patiently waiting for this little bee-bubblefish to get closer.

Fat-tailed arrowheads store collected Residue in their tails as a source of sustenance during the Clear Season, so they can live in more seasonably variable places than their relatives can. They can also excite the stored Residue to cause their tails to glow, attracting prey and flashing to frighten predators - with their ability to be "living lamps", arcane spellcasters from the Baronies and Shallows make use of them as Familiars with some frequency.

The permanent "angry eyebrows" formed by their spots is just a bonus.
