Nudibun, the sea hare pokemon
Nudibun is a small water-type pokemon from the shallows waters of Osai. Their bright colours warm of their foul taste, and the filaments on their head and rear deliver a stinging sensation when touched. Nudibun keeps itself moist with a covering of mucus so it can venture into tidal flat and pools to look for kelp and algae to eat, away from its usual predators. Its bright colours help to camouflage it among the soft corals where it lives. Because of its gentle nature, nudibun is a popular choice for trainers starting out in the Osai region. Nudibun elvolves into mollepus at level 16.
Mollepus, the sea hare pokemon
Mollepus is a medium-sized water-and-electric type pokemon from the soft coral beds of the Osai region. The filaments on its head, back, and tail are packed full of cells that generate electricity - an unwanted touch will deliver a nasty shock! Mollepus still prefers to move across the seabed slowly but it can swim if pressed, just not for prolonged periods. Mollepus spends its days grazing on kelps, soft corals, and algae, but because of its size it needs to find new feeding grounds regularly. It doesn't mind the company of other reef pokemon, so it's often followed by staryu, clauncher, and small fish like finneon, who gain protection from their predators. Mollepus evolves into nesslug at level 36.
Nesslug, the pelagic pokemon
Nesslug is a large water-and-electric type pokemon from the open waters of Osai. Having developed powerful flippers and a streamlined body, nesslug cruises the waves to look for floating beds of kelp, stretches of sea grass, and blooms of algae to eat. Its filaments can deliver a shock powerful enough to down a charging sharpedo, so predators give it a wide berth. Although nesslug mostly live out at sea, there have been recorded instances of nesslugs in freshwater lakes and rivers dating back to antiquity. Some of the modern occurrences are likely pokemon released by their trainers, or weaker individuals blown well off-course by powerful storms, but that does not account for the majority of these stories. The reported sighting of a nesslug in the Galar region, however, is extremely dubious.
