Kinsey

Korean dragons can be broken down into three broad categories, with dozens of species in each distinction: Mireu, Yong, and Imugi. Mireu resemble Chinese ancestral breeds to a strong degree in the broad strokes, with long, slender bodies and serpentine proportions, and tend to be quite large. Yong resemble smaller Russian and Mongolian ferals, though they have many derived traits, especially their dazzling array of colours and the shape of their wings. Imugi are feral Korean dragons, tending towards serpentine slenderness, petite builds, and mottled grey colours.

Kinsey was captured as an egg by Meridiana's formation, when they intercepted the ship en route to Iki Island. Documents taken from the ship suggest that the capture of the island was meant to be a swift coup, and a breeding colony established as insurance against Japanese dragon attacks. Of the several Yong eggs on board, only Kinsey's made it to hatching. He was named by one of Beau's crew, but developed a profound attachment to Takeshi Nageshima, the younger brother of the magistrate and Kagerou's own personal attendant. A lightweight, if only just, he is no threat to the larger ri-ryu, merely a constant annoyance.
