Gym Leader Prentise

Seven years after becoming Champion of the Galar League, Prentise nearly died in a climbing accident in the Crown Tundra. Though he survived his arm was so badly mangled it required amputation, and he walks with a permanent limp. He resigned as Champion to focus on his recovery, and in that time he came to depend on his audino Arcade and his indeedee Valorian to help him regain mobility and re-learn basic tasks.


At the new Champion's insistence he looked for a way to remain part of the Galar League, and ended up taking over the Normal Gym, which had been at the bottom of the League standings for over a decade. Owing to his new familiarity with both normal-type pokemon and the challenges of the differently-abled, he transformed the gym from a half-hearted proving ground for preschoolers and kids in shorts into almost an academy for service-pokemon and their trainers. Nurses, wait staff, and hospitality professionals (as well as maid-costume enthusiasts) now flock to the Normal Gym for lessons on etiquette, service, and sensitivity to the needs of their guests. That and getting their asses handed to them by Prentise's drampa.
