Beautiful.. I used to do a lot of photos like these, and process them in sepia. They looked like they were from the late 1800. Great job.

Thanks Lori!  I usually don't do many exteriors of cathedrals as for me the interiors are much better.  Peterborough cathedral was an exception and I absolutely love the exterior of this place. :)

It looks like a beautiful place. I really enjoy seeing the exterior shots you do, because I will probably never be able to see the places you shoot in person. You take very lovely shots and I admire your photographs very much!

The only reason this building survived was because during the reformation, the Abbot denounced his catholicism to King Henry VIII, becoming the C of E bishop and saving the building from being razed to ruins. King Henry ended up burying his first wife here. Truly a majestic building that was thankfully saved, unlike most of the other abbeys in England

If you haven't done so already, I would strongly recommend visiting Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.  I have been to a lot of cathedrals but none match Liverpool Anglican Cathedral with regards to the sheer size of the place.  You only realise how huge the places only until you visit the place in person.  It is quite an experience.  I think it is the 4th largest cathedral in the world.

Somehow understated yet imposing.

Thanks.  I quite like the exterior of this cathedral as it is quite detailed and different than the usual types of cathedrals.

Thanks. :)  I mainly shoot interior architecture, although I am glad I did the exterior to this place. :)
