welcome to my bad english tips for artist.
So this journal would be really really short. But I think enormous important. Often I'm wonder about quantity or quality.
I read a lot about it, but one of the best things I learned from books about art is getting really late in my head. Don't do the same mistake! Here's my tip :
The most of the time quantity is better than quality! Because when you spend hours and hours on the same picture, what do you learn? It might be better than the fast ones, ok, but if the hair is good, the next time you start from the beginning and you have to ask yourself: How do I do that ? With the fast ones you learn much more. It's better to draw an eye 10 times bad than 1 time good. You purge the mistakes evry time a little bit more. It becomes routine. And that's so much better, because when you decide to to a real-quality one,you know what you're doing, you'll make it faster, it's so frustrating to draw a picture over weeks. And the best thing you create your style.
So my tip : Take a timer, the alarm clock goes off every five minutes. In this five minutes draw whatever you like, arms, fingers, pets. The thing is, take a focus on something you can draw in 5 minutes. You can't draw a unicorn, which is shooting with a bazooka on a helicopter full of hipsters. When the five minutes are over, take a new piece of a paper and do the same again. Do this half an hour or ( hardcore ) an hour. For me it's the best excercise of all.
So I promised this one would be a short one. Have a nice one!
