• Not long after Celestia married Discord, the idea of finding her own partner began probing Princess Luna’s mind (teasing from Celestia may have contributed to this), and thus the princess opened herself to the idea of courting. One day while visiting the Crystal Empire she was formally introduced to commander Glacial Streak of the Crystal Empire’s royal guard, who captured her interest in a day, and their relationship grew from then on.
  
  
• When Amadeus was born, his hair was a simple blue. But as the weeks passed, his hair and feathers began forming sparkles and a more colorful, crystalline appearance until one day it outright began to illuminate. In a weakened state, Amadeus’s hair will revert back to its original blue (much like princess Luna). Otherwise, Amadeus can control his luminosity.
  
  
• In personality, Amadeus is gentle, patient, and slow to anger. In front of his subjects Amadeus has a habit of putting on a perfect-prince appearance, acting perfectly collected and formal. But in reality he is a lot more awkward than he lets on, improvising 80% of the time, and is kinda just…a closeted dork. Amadeus actually loves video games and stupid jokes and following the latest trends (coughmemes) in pony society, but he hides this, believing it doesn’t fit the idea of the prince that he’s expected to be. His biggest fear is failing expectations and disappointing ponies with how “lacking” he actually is.
  
  
• Amadeus’s magic is heavily light-based. He can use it to brighten his hair, create light shows, and conjure warm star-like balls of light that drift through Canterlot’s streets in an effort to comfort citizens and keep them safe at night. 
  
  
• Amadeus often patrols at night to search for lost ponies and guide them with his light if need be. Since his father’s death he also patrols with (and oversees) Luna’s bat pony guard.
