Rendered 7/22/18

My technical skills are nowhere near where I'd like them to be, so I recently took advantage of a promotion being offered through Renderosity's newsletter and joined a new 3D art cub that specializes in teaching artists how to render women.  My hope is that I'll be able to apply what I learn from it to my fetish work.  I should note that the club is run by Val Cameron, the guy behind Dreamlight, one of DAZ's top-selling Published Artists.

The first video tutorial I downloaded is a two-part series on how to light a woman in a room with little more than diffuse lighting from the sun.  The instructor wound up adding a spotlight to his scene, but I managed to avoid that necessity by using other techniques I've learned elsewhere.

Made With

Fancy Bath
Reagan HD for G8F
Loft Bath dForce Robe for G8F
Sonia Hair for G3F and G8F

EDIT: I got some feedback from the instructor and took his advice to heart.  I moved the sunlight further away from my character and re-positioned my camera to bring her more into frame.  I also added a mesh light to enhance the diffuse sunlight.

This has almost a Norman Rockwell feeling to it.

I see you're operating with an outside light - other than the light from the skydome, I suppose is there. For the inside softer light, did you use a white plane or set the back wall to a high ambient value?

(Or are you obliged by your contract with r'osity not to divulge your techniques?)

Not bad at all. The tiles came out very nicely. The tube and the girl are good as well. I like the flow of the bathrobe, but would expect some sheen on the edges from the light coming from the outside.
Overall excellent!
