Why not?

1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?

Since Oct 28, 2007.

2. What does your username mean?

It is simply a combination of the names 'mew' and 'haku', originally coming from Pokemon and Naruto since I liked both characters a ton. (I also enjoy Spirited Away, so it was nice on that front too.) However, thankfully the name can be taken without the character references to simply refer to the sound a cat makes and the word for 'white' in Japanese. Which also works for me perfectly considering my fursona is a black and white cat.

3. Describe yourself in three words.

Empathetic, curious, academic.

4.Are you left or right handed?

6. What is your favourite type of art to create?

Honestly I like traditional media the best out of everything, with a focus on black and white usually aided by inking pens. (or works done in pencil) I like utilizing color in digital works more than I do traditional ones. I just haven't had the space to work with traditional media in awhile, hence everything comes out colorful and digital mostly these days.

7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?

Guess I'll use a few example favorites of mine for styles I really like/would like to improve with if I could,
Either a more shape/based and/or abstract style such as the works from the artist Dave McKean or Skia 's (I find them to be a good example of that kind of work, go check them out! Super nice.)-

I really like the ink/pencil scratchy/sketchy style as well, but I feel I'm better at that then the two styles I mentioned above. Particularly when it comes to abstraction/more extreme stylization I have trouble at times. (Seriously Skia and Culpeo-Fox are two of my favorite users on this site considering the styles I've just mentioned liking! Haha, they have such high quality work. ;_; )

8. What was your first favourite?

No clue considering I went and cleaned that folder out semi-recently and re-organized it from the ground up. Apparently the 'all' section of favorites considers it this piece:



9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?

Probably a lot of fanworks, but I also do like a lot of original fantasy work as well.

10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?

Probably Culpeo-Fox. There's many I remember following since I joined 7 years back, but consistently I'm always happy to see them active. (I hope that doesn't sound creepy or something... )

11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?

Good question, probably anyone I've befriended on here. There's some people I've known longer than others however, such as Naxal710, 3d-dragon, hapbuk, and ExiaConquista who might be fun to catch up with considering I've known some of them since my time on Youtube! Haha.

12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?

I can't place a specific name to it, but there have been many, many encouraging comments on my work here over the years that has indeed helped me realize that heck, I can improve, and I am creating stuff that people like to look at! I can't ask for more than that.

13. What are your preferred tools to create art?

Probably a pencil, inking pen, and paper (bristol). However I also love my laptop and tablet.

14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?

Good question, as mentioned I don't quite have the space to make anything traditional media wise at the moment, which also hinders inspiration. Ideally I liked creating in 'my own space', such as my college dorm where I lived by myself for some time.

15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?

Good question on that too! I am not sure. The cat april fools day was fun, if it must be distinctly DA related in that sense and not just taking place on the site.
