A slightly different 'verse of my main superhero OC, Pulse. In that world, things like super heroes and villains are practically mainstream -- to the point of even having academies in most of the major cities specifically for training the next generation of would-be heroes. Some are alumni, with their parents having gone through it and, in turn, sent their kids there and others are on more of a private 'need to know' basis. Of course, not all young heroes want their parents to find out what they are or have the money for their trainee licenses, so they tend to try the hero thing on their own with mixed results.
