That's right, it was in 1986 when Samus Aran's adventures began on the Famicom, taking players to a very lonely world full of dangers. While the Metroid series enjoyed quite a promising period at the beginning, with a trilogy between NES, Game Boy and SNES, once Super Metroid hit the market, the series began a long period of silence, something that would become usual. However, in 2002 we saw the release of Metroid Prime, a title that revitalized interest in the property, and brought the bounty hunter into 3D. The Metroid series has also played a pivotal role in the history of video games. Thanks to the great freedom and exploration system that the games in the series have provided, many developers were inspired by this level design.
