Perhaps my favorite part of the storytelling process is creating new characters. Not only do we get to invent their personalities, motives, and eccentricities, but in the visual medium of comix we get to decide what they look like as well.

Case in point - In our newest story titled "Making Friends", my artist collaborator WikkidLester and I needed three main characters. One is a male college student, a budding engineering prodigy who is sorely lacking in social skills. The second is a female college student - a foil for the male lead - who has a reputation as a ditz because she belongs to a campus sorority, but may offer more in the way of personality than expected. The we have a sidekick for the protagonist, a voluptuous female robot who remains stoically silent and unflinching even when the male lead does some debased things to her in the name of 'science'.

Our story is a study in the slow burn, perhaps to the chagrin of some of our readers. But I hope they will find the patience to allow us to develop the characters and storyline into something worth waiting for.

Anyone have any thoughts on our characters, or on character creation in general, that you'd like to share?

Hey Metrobay fans! MetrobayComix.com is pleased to announce the addition of creativeguy59 to the team. Creativeguy has been publishing comix and pinups for several years now, and we feel his style and themes will fit in very well with the rest of us miscreants.

Here's a link to some of Creativeguy's pinup work: metrobay.eroticillusions.com/f…

Creativeguy's first story will be called "Turing Point", and will debut sometime in June. The first cover page is here: metrobay.eroticillusions.com/f…

Please feel free to leave a comment here and make him feel welcome. We are excited to have him come aboard!

The staff of Metrobay Comix is in a bit of flux right now. We have had a couple of our longtime artists request to take some time off to recharge their batteries and pursue other personal endeavors. So, we are looking to recruit some new artists to contribute comix to the site on a short-term basis.

If you are an erotic fantasy/fetish artist who works primarily with Poser or Daz Studio-style software and is interested in contributing a limited series to our members gallery, we encourage you to email metrobaycomix@gmail.com and let us know. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the process of publishing a comic at MetrobayComix.com.

Thanks in advance for your interest!

I've been *extremely* lazy lately when it comes to blogging and social media, which is really not a good thing since a healthy portion of our business comes from self-promotion. I don't know if it's the winter blahs, or just being busy, or what - but it seems like every time I think to myself that I need to post something I get distracted and don't end up doing it.

Anyway, we only have a couple of chapters remaining until the conclusion of "The Omega Mystery" over at MetrobayComix.com, and the other day my artist partner finister sent me this render for this week's chapter that I thought was very striking. I'm not sure if it's the moody lighting, or the shininess of Omegabot's latex suit, or the attention-grabbing apple bottom laying on the bed, but I felt the need to share it with you all before the finished issue is published on Sunday.

I was working on the script for this week's edition of "The Omega Mystery" (#28) at www.MetrobayComix.com when it struck me that sometimes I forget just how hot Ms. Metrobay is. I mean, check this out:

And it isn't like Azure Avenger and Omega Woman are chopped liver, either!
