Can modern AI image generators improve your own artistic work? I investigated this question once to find an answer for myself. I chose an older digital work of mine that I created back then with the help of 3D programs and Photoshop. See the picture on the left. I used the original as a starting point for an image analysis and Dall-E. The prompt generated from this provided the image on the right. You can clearly see the similarities. However, it is noticeable that the original power of the visual force is missing. This has been replaced at the expense of realism. As a conclusion for me, I can say that the image generators do not improve the work but can rather develop it in a different direction. I will continue to experiment and of course look forward to your comments.
