The commission from hell.
Looking back at this, it seems like it should have been a much easier piece, but this has been a headache for much longer than it should have been. Mainly because the client who ordered it gave me very explicit instructions to NOT do any of the things that would have made the piece seem more interesting/alive/realistic. Ah, the life of a commission artist......I want advil.

Breakwater around hatch area is an interesting detail. Might just have to be inspired by it for a large rubberband powered model presently being designed. 😊
