When you read or do research about the history of classical music, one city is always mentioned and that is the city of Vienna, Austria. Many of the history’s greatest composers lived and worked in Vienna and they literally built that city on classical music. Vienna is the capital of Austria, which is a country in Europe, its close to the to the borders of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Vienna has a population of over 1.9 million people and an aria of over 160.1 square miles. Vienna was the music capital of the world just like how Los Angles, California is the movie capital of the world today, many foreign composers outside Austria moved to Vienna because the city was such an excellent place to make it big as a musician or composer, just like how lots of wannabe actors and filmmakers came to Los Angles because that’s where most of the movies we watch are made, in fact in Vienna they even do concerts in honor of film score composers called “Hollywood In Vienna”

Today, Vienna is still considered the music capital of the world, it has lots of theaters, opera houses, and concert halls. There are lots of orchestras that continue to honor the great composers by performing their most popular music for audiences of all ages. There are even modern composers living and working in Vienna today, these include Rainhard Jürgen Fendrich, Lera Auerbach, Miguel Kertsman, Aleksey Igudesman, Clio Montrey and many more. Vienna continues to delight classical music lovers today, just as it did for over three centuries.
