I am Merel van Eck and live in the region of Eindhoven in the Netherlands. In 2014 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications at the Fontys Hogeschool in Eindhoven.

After a hard time with many hospital stays and dialysis, I got a kidney transplant in January 2020. It's the point in my life where I actively started with painting. Thanks to many tips from my father, watching tutorials by Kevin Hill and many happy tree videos by Bob Ross, I got really into it and it has changed my life! I'm forever grateful.

I love fairytale like landscapes and fantasy places I'd like to escape in. These are the subjects you will often see in my paintings. If you like, you can also follow my art journey and the stories of Mr Salem and Mr Sam on social media.
