This is a fantastic piece in almost every aspect. There seem to be several light sources, or a least a few points of reflected light. T...

I am currently in the process of writing and creating a comic book graphic novel. I am posting characters and their bios. I am always looking for inspiration for the story. Right now I have all the characters set up. I have character arcs in mind and the basis of the full story arc. Many characters will be modeled after my self and my friends as well as certain established characters of several companies. I'll let you speculate on what that means specifically. There will be a lot of political incorrectness in the series. That's the way it should be, because it's 2016, not 1952. You have been warned.

The Immortal McKnight by MercyInk87

A man with silver hair in a denim shirt, rolled up sleeves, dark jeans and work boots sits behind a desk in a lecture hall.

1.- Hello, and welcome to 20 Questions with Fourth Wall Magazine!
What is your real name and nickname?
"You can call me McKnight, but my name is Jackson Masters."

2.- Very Nice to meet you, what is your current age?
"I'm 263 years old, but I usually just round town to the 63."

3.- What is your alignment in the great never-ending battle of good and evil?
"I'm one of the good guys."

4.- What is the origin of your powers?
"I'm not sure about the origin, but I know when I first realized I had them. It was during the Siege of Boston in 1775, when I was 20, that I began to fight for what would become the United States of America. I died, or so the medics thought, at Sullivan's Island in South Carolina in June on 1776, just a week before the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The British were firing artillery and a grapeshot went through my heart. I woke up screaming twelve hours later, much to the fear and dismay of the Natives who found me. I've been serving the people ever since."

5.- Fascinating! Now, superpowers and such aside, what do you feel is your greatest strength as a character?
"Loyalty and a strong sense of right and wrong."

6.- Here's what may be a bizarre question: What kind of Universe do you exist in? Is it serious? Comical? Sexy? Noir? Horror?
"It's got all kinds. I think it's a strength to see all and not focus on any in particular."

7.- A lot of super-people have certain recurring elements of tragedy in their background. The readers would like to know if you do as well. For instance, are your parents still alive and/or did you come from a destroyed planet? Stuff like that.
"I've watched my world, grow, change, die and get rebuild around me. I've seen wives, lovers, and all of my children die around me. Sadly none of my kids have inherited my immortality."

8.- Who made your costume?
"It's something I've pieced together over a long history."

9.- Do you have siblings?
"I had an older brother who died beside me. Unfortunately he didn't get up from the blast."

10.- What is your biggest fear/ worst nightmare?
"That I may wander through the world all alone. That everything and everyone I've ever cared about will blow past like dust in the wind."

11.- Are you a solo act, or part of a team?
"Both."

12.- Who is your worst enemy and why?
"That changes with the decades, to be totally honest."

13.- Huh, okay. interesting. Then, who is your best friend?
"My best friends are Jyn and Omega."

14.- Confession time; Who is your lover?
"I don't currently have one. Maybe one of these days, I might again. I have other things on my mind for now."

15.- Existential question: What would you do if you could ever meet your creator?
"I'd really like to know why someone would put me through the wringer like this."

16.- What is your lifelong dream?
"I'd like to see my daughter outlive me."

17.- What would you do if your dream came true?
"I would love to get down to living the life of a grandfather. Retiring for a while, sitting on my porch and drinking sweet tea out of a glass."

18.- As a character, do you have any personal demons or overarching regrets that haunt you?
"I've lived way too long and seen too many people die."

19.-  What does your "secret identity" do for work?
"I'm a professor of American History out in California."

20.- Last question, and it's a DOOZY for a super: What is the WEIRDEST thing that has happened to you?
"I've seen a man who can break the sound barrier, an alien to our universe, a reborn demigod, I have a daughter who can shape water and I've seen a reform himself from ashes. I've got a high bar for weird."

Ventus By Autumn Wood Studio by MercyInk87

A man in a light colored polo shirt, dark jeans and athletic shoes sits on a stool in a lab.

1.- Hello, and welcome to 20 Questions with Fourth Wall Magazine!
What is your real name and nickname?
"You can call me Ventus. Nice to meet you."

2.- Very Nice to meet you, what is your current age?
"I'm 28."

3.- What is your alignment in the great never-ending battle of good and evil?
"I'm one of the good guys."

4.- What is the origin of your powers?
"It was weird. I had a vision of the god Mercury and was told I would be given his power to do good. The next day, I was able to run rather quickly and generate electricity. It was really freaky at first, but it took a day or two to understand what exactly was going on. I have a lot more control now."

5.- Fascinating! Now, superpowers and such aside, what do you feel is your greatest strength as a character?
"I have an understanding of chemistry and physics."

6.- Here's what may be a bizarre question: What kind of Universe do you exist in? Is it serious? Comical? Sexy? Noir? Horror?
"I'm...going to go with 'all the above'."

7.- A lot of super-people have certain recurring elements of tragedy in their background. The readers would like to know if you do as well. For instance, are your parents still alive and/or did you come from a destroyed planet? Stuff like that.
"My honesty with myself and my family has pushed my mother away, while my father and sisters have accepted me. I trusted my mother and she betrayed that trust with bigotry. That happens a lot for gay men. I wish it happened less, that it didn't happen at all."

8.- Who made your costume?
"It's actually a design and make of my own."

9.- Do you have siblings?
"Yes, I have two sisters. Maggie and Lauren."

10.- What is your biggest fear/ worst nightmare?
"That I may lose myself into the power at some point and push away those closest to me for the adrenaline rush of it all."

11.- Are you a solo act, or part of a team?
"Both."

12.- Who is your worst enemy and why?
"A man named Plasmoid. I seem to run into him pretty often."

13.- Huh, okay. interesting. Then, who is your best friend?
"My best friend is my teammate, McKnight."

14.- Confession time; Who is your lover?
"I'm not willing to tell you that, for his safety."

15.- Existential question: What would you do if you could ever meet your creator?
"I'd like to discuss pop culture with him."

16.- What is your lifelong dream?
"I'd like to see my mother and some old friends come around to being more accepting."

17.- What would you do if your dream came true?
"I would love to get back in touch with my mother and spend a few weeks catching up. Same for some high school friends that I've lost touch with."

18.- As a character, do you have any personal demons or overarching regrets that haunt you?
"Nothing that springs to mind right away."

19.-  What does your "secret identity" do for work?
"I'm a chemist and textile fabricator."

20.- Last question, and it's a DOOZY for a super: What is the WEIRDEST thing that has happened to you?
"Like I said before, I seem to be the god Mercury or hermes, reborn so to speak. That opens itself up to all sorts of weirdness. Although, recently I've been having memories of the Twin Cities on fire, burnt to rubble. No clue what that's about."
