My take on a Lufthansa poster, featuring the Heinkel He 70 "Blitz".

The development of the Heinkel He 70 was triggered by the appearance of the Lockheed Orion. Deutsche Lufthansa decided to issue specifications for an aircraft, capable of cruising at at least 198mph, and of carrying six passengers on non-stop flights of 620 miles (1000km).

This piece was created in Illustrator CS and is entirely vector.

This was rendered with the pen and knockout tools and some use of the gradient tool.

A rather subtle change of registration?

Interestingly, D-UTIM was the subject of the Revell re-issue of the old Matchbox He 70F/G/He 170A kit, while D-UMIM was subject of the original Matchbox release itself.  I should know, as I had both kits.

(Oddly, Revell issued a Heinkel He 70 once more this year, but this time it turns out to be a rebox of the ICM kit, rather than the Matchbox one...)

Actually the shape of the "T" was bothering me, so i switched to an "M".

I can't say I noticed anything about the T, it looked fine to me. :3
