Messenger Bags: H.K.+Checkers

There was once a time a days ago when I was looking through Ebay for messenger bags. I was incredibly jealous that I didn't have one and that the bags online were SO expensive, and I was currently in the middle of paying off an almost-$300-8th-grade-dance-dress. I was in a pickle.
So, naturally, I decided to do the unthinkable and make my own bag. And it turned out... like a bag. Which was surprising.
I made the pink one two days ago. It's made from an old oversized Hello Kitty pajama t-shirt. I also pinned and hooked a bunch of stuff to it, like safety pins on the strap. It took about two hours to make.
The checkered one I made about half an hour ago. My friend Megan is paying me ten buckeroos for it, yay! She provided the cloth and button
Its strap is a bit longer than mine and the bag part is bigger. This took about one hour to make.
So if you like to make things, kids, get a sewing machine next Christmas. It's lotsa funnn.
