It does seem to be flawed, putting it like that, and it will never be perfect. Still, maybe there's a certain beauty to it too? If there was a direct connection from me to you, instantly and without any chance of miscommunication - we could never experience a conversation that explores and grows and twists and turns, seeking to gain some kind of deeper insight and understanding. It needs genuine curiosity and mindfulness and the willingness to really shift your perspective if you want to catch a glimpse of the other person's point of view. I crave this kind of communication, this kind of commitment to try and understand someone else's way of seeing the world. Raw, curious heart-connection.
Aaanyway. Got a little bit sidetracked.
Oh, I do like that thought a lot! You are sharing them with yourself, with a different version of yourself too for we're ever-changing human beings Connecting with someone else in real-time is a whole different experience though and both can be amazing!
Agreed, you'd think they'd choose a director who is a fan of the stuff he's gonna direct - but then again, there could be the ambition to turn it into their "own" project aka just changing everything people loved about the original work And I get that some things just work better in a book than on screen but sometimes I feel like certain film makers really force themselves to just randomly change important scenes, plot lines, whole characters even though they were carrying the whole story.
The Hobbit now holds a special place in my heart, both the films and the book. For very different reasons.
& ranting like that can lead to bonding with someone in the most peculiar way I, from what I've experienced
Huh! *-* Eternal youth, that's an important thing to specify when talking about immortality. Just imagining someone wishing for an immortal existence but he forgets to mention that he wants to stay young forever, not aging endlessly without being able to die. Okay, that went grim very quickly. x) *ahem* May I ask what exactly you wrote about?
Sometimes I re-read your sentences just because they flow so nicely and make my heart tingle like it tends to do when I come across things that I find beautiful or that excite me. Just so you know. :3 (The sentence about ancient rulers was one of them)
I feel like words give a tangible existence to otherwise completely abstract ideas, almost like a physical body containing an immortal soul. ^-^ Ok that might just be my philosophy but just as we need bodies to interact with each other here on Earth, words are necessary to communicate our ideas (though they can also be expressed by art in all its various forms), yet they themselves won't last forever.
Exactly! Our brains can be amazing but oh, also kinda lazy if we don't actively nudge them They can do astonishing things though, they've so much potential to adapt, adjust and heal (on an emotional/psychological level) if we learn how to properly support them in doing so. And also on a physical level - in case we physically lose parts of our brain, other parts can learn how to take on the jobs initially carried out by those other regions, apparently, which is just fascinating! °-°
And as awkward our brains sometimes behave when it comes to learning new stuff, it can also be exciting as we're naturally curious creatures. The thing is finding that kind of flow
I like to think that those people don't mean to be rude, they just… walk very mindfully, so they didn't hear you greeting them. Yes yes
And I know <3 I've been thinking about turning her project into some kind of story, actually. My guess is that the city government was like "Those strays could scare away the tourists and we need tourists - let's find some ambivalent people to lock them away (the strays, not the tourists)" ... I do hope the dogcatchers are fooled by the collars.
Hmhm °~° I've thought about this before, I do hope that it won't take too long to replace all our cars with electronic ones but there is this kind of danger - especially in a small village like the one I'm from. People might be lost in a daydream and not hearing a vehicle approach (not that I would ever get so lost in a daydream that I don't pay attention to my surroundings any longer..). Oh well. Could teach both sides to be even more careful^^
To be honest, I'd rather sit next to a dog on the metro than a fellow human being I'd love to someday share a ride with the street dogs of Moscow ^_^
Inception~~ and oh, I'm do gonna make you watch Lion King xD Just listen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgKSiP…
True, true ^-^ and it doesn't take away from the fun I have singing along to these songs from my childhood that will always hold a special place in my heart
Mhm mhm, it really is never too late. One of the most important lessons little me has been taught from an early age. In a way that now helps immensely when I need to remind myself of it from time to time.
