Now this one was challenging, first time drawing fan art. Seriously scared of MLP (day 15 if I live) though. ;-;

Wow this is an amazing piece! Im so happy that you are using a unique pose for Spirit, because most of the drawing I have ween were only repeating the poses in the original movie. Amazing choice of colours too! The purple and his buckskin orange in juxtaposition create a natural but also somehow baroque effect.
Greate choice of lighting as well, the focus is on his next and his head, showing the viewer is struggle to break free.
I cannot say anything negative, this is really original and well-implemented painting!
I cannot thing any consructive ideas, I am really satisfied with this piece.

Great use of light. Letting it pool on Spirit's face for a focal point was a good idea.
Good contrast and use of big strokes to indicate muscle on the horses too, but relying only on the brush made them look a little flat. Try to think of the body and limbs in 3d as you paint. Although doing this would definitely demand a lot more time on the canvas, it'll be rewarding I assure you.
There should also be some ambient occlusion (total absence of light) going on where the ropes are firmly against Spirit's neck. Currently they feel afloat, not pulling, against his neck.
Something else you can try if you ever plan to revisit this piece is to give direction to the dust that's being kicked up here, add some little pebbles being tossed up here and there around Spirit's hooves, you'll be able to show an even greater sense of movement to this scene.

Your art style is so gorgeous! This seen was so moving, it was one of my favourites the animation was beautiful and this painting looks like it could be a concept design for the animation. Its so beautiful the lighting is stunning, I love the painterly feel of this piece, Spirit is quite clearly the focus of this painting. You've done a brilliant job painting this, I adore it

Holy, epically phenomenal! This Wondrous Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron Inspired Scene is stunning and The Interaction is incredible. The designs, horses, expressions, poses, buck stance, cowhand man, manes, tails, hooves, eyes, noses, legs, saddles, mountains, ledges, cliffs, crevices, cowboy outfit, hat, ropes, briddles, sunlight, rays, shadows, dust, pathway, terrain, action, movement, flow, effects, realisticness, perspective, atmosphere, hues, textures, concept, composition, uniqueness, colors, lighting, style, and other details are also sensational. Amazingly Radical work!
