Yes, we can rebuild her
Last night in my dream I brought (towed) my rusty old jalopy to an auto detailer/mechanic to be rebuilt. He looked over the junker, the broken rear axle, the rusted-out rocker panels, the torn seats, under the hood at the decrepit engine compartment, and tsk tsked, his fingers scratching his chin, shaking his head. He said he'd see what he could do, and we left it at that.
Indeed, last night was a terribly sleepless night, and I think I woke up at this point (what, 4 AM?) – my neighbor upstairs dropping a load of heavy crap on her floor, disturbing me.
When I fell back asleep, there I was at the mechanic's again, and we went around the corner of his garage, and there she was! She was as good as new: a glossy new paint job, all patched-up and rebuilt! She was immaculate. I got in behind the wheel, and the inside it was a deluxe job too: with flatscreen computer interfaces and reupholstered seats.
