Your shading is so soft and delicate! And wow I haven't seen uploads from you in awhile! Nice to see your new art.

Thank you! :)
I had to use cotton to blend the pencils because I couldn't find my proper blending tool anymore.

I've been away from DA for a while: my job is preventing me from spending too much time drawing (or doing anything fun anyway).

Hey, if it works it works! :D It gave it a smooth, dreamy effect.

I remember when you were starting out at that job! I used to follow you back in the day from a different account named "Natohamae." If you don't mind me asking, what's a day in your position like?

There are lots of emails :)
And a couple of Skype meetings per day.
Most of my work has to do with making sure that other tasks go smoothly and that issues or exceptions are prevented or resolved (it's a bit vague, sorry - it's not that easy to explain), so we email, or call, or look into tech documentation and than go back to answer questions (so more emails...)
It doesn't sound particularly exciting, but I keep learning new stuff, which is good; and it's very stimulating to be working with people from all around the World.

No, that's actually very interesting! I haven't been trained for that industry and currently only know it from developers' talks, games journalism, and my city's indie dev community. So, it's always interesting to hear how things work from any standpoint in the industry. Thanks for sharing that! I didn't realize a position like that was sometime handled through distance work! :)

Distance work is the best part, IMHO :)
And what about you? What are you up to?

I really appreciate distance work too. I've been doing distance work as well, for marketing (day job).

In my spare time I've been continuing to practice my drawing and creative writing skills, and I've finally started posting art online again (via Instagram). Whenever I can, I take part in game design workshops and volunteer in my city's indie game community too.

It's been an interesting post-grad year, but I eventually want to launch a creative project of some sort! Possibly interactive storytelling. Thanks for asking. :)

You are keeping yourself busy, wow. :)

About interactive storytelling, I have few experimental projects on Twine - but it's taking me ages to progress as I very rarely have the time to work on them.
It's been good to learn new things, and it's so easy to get something usable, it's very satisfying.
