Not actually a commentary on Valentine's day or anything, I just like painting skulls.

Beautiful! I love the way the line thickness is handled around the skulls.

I love this! It's something that would make an excellent tattoo. The skulls are done quite well.

I went and looked it up, since I hadn't heard of it before. Similar in composition, not in intent, I think!

Straddling the line between creepy and romantic with panache. :3 I love it. Especially the warm colors combined with the skulls--it lessens the creepy a great deal.

Oh, who am I kidding. I think it's the most adorable thing ever. <3

It's interesting to see skulls in a context of life and love, and not only death. Beautiful.

There are a few science magazines that sell plastic casts of skulls, but I don't actually own one - I have a book called 'Skeleton' from the Dorling Kindersley Eyewitness series, and I was able to kinda fake it from the photos in there.

Wow. Well, I'm impressed. I've got an animal's skull(not sure which), but I'll be sure to look into one or both of those if I ever get the money. Danke ^_^

ah, reminds me of why I love watercolours so much. Feel the need to whip some out myself now.
I want people to walk around with skull heads all the time but life may then just look like a video game hack.

I really love this piece. I've have an odd obsession with the interiors of things lately, especially things that one can't see without breaking the object. This fits in very nicely with that.

I know I'm really bad about leaving comments and feedback, but I'm going to try and be better about it, because I really love your work, and I figure I should tell you that every once in a while.

My God, I am madly in love with this. *_* OK, so I'm a little macabre, but who isn't? Heh.

I... I may try making an LJ icon (or two) out of this if you don't mind. And it really needs to be the cover of a novel, fyi.

*grin* Someone already emailed me to ask if they could use it for the cover of an album. And go RIGHT ahead and make icons of it!

*hug* *raises hand* I do believe I fall in the 'slightly macabre' camp as well.

Hee! Actually... with your permission, I think it might be fun to make a whole series of Rah Art icons. I'd avoid commissions that aren't part of Jesse's world, and I can avoid Changewind if you want. But other than that... *grins*

:iconmelukilan:

Go ahead and use Changewind, if something from that strikes your fancy. I do kind of a lot of art for it, excluding it would limit your selection a pretty severely!

Sensible to avoid other people's commissions, though. I've done some lovely stuff that I wouldn't mind showing off more, but the images are technically the commissioners' in most ways that count.

Yeah, I've got a CanoScan LiDE 35. For paintings I usually have to press down on the lid to get it to scan evenly, because the paper ripples a bit.

Gorgeous. And accurate! :) :) Extra points. It's very difficult for me to look at a drawing/painting/other creative representation of a skull and actually find it believable. I love this picture.
