Asuka Strikes

Another shot from the EGL Asuka & Rei shoot, this time with a full body shot of me standing. You can see all of the ruffles in the skirt, and the ruffles at the tops of the thigh-highs that you can't see in many other shots.

We were on the 38th floor of the Sheraton Downtown Dallas (the hotel for Anime Fest 2012), which was perfect since the ballroom on that floor was devoid of con-goers, and offered views of the downtown Dallas skyline.

As some of you know, I've cosplayed Rei in the past, and I used to be a big Rei fan. But over the years, Asuka has really grown on me. I thought it would be a lot of fun (and a good challenge) to cosplay as her, since her personality is very different from the characters I usually cosplay as, and a far cry from how I normally act.
