It formed from it — slowly, over an immense span of time, the way amber always forms, except that whatever this creature originally was kept producing the resin long after it should have stopped, layer over layer, century over century, until the original body was no longer visible at all and the amber itself had become large enough, and dense enough, to move under its own power. The shapes visible within its abdomen — vaguely humanoid, multiple, motionless — are not decoration and were not placed there deliberately. They are simply whatever happened to be nearby during the centuries the resin was accumulating, preserved exactly as they were at the moment of contact. The creature does not seem aware of them, or if it is, has never indicated so by any action. It moves through the hall slowly, on long golden legs, the green glow around it the residual light of whatever original biological process still, somewhere deep inside all that amber, continues.

Presence The creature is a massive insectoid construct, its entire body composed of translucent, glowing amber-gold material with a faceted, crystalline surface texture. The head features large, multi-faceted compound eyes in a brighter gold-orange, with delicate mouthparts below. Two pairs of thin, translucent wings extend from the upper back, veined and glowing softly. The body curves downward into a large, bulbous abdomen, within which dark, vaguely humanoid silhouettes are visible, suspended as though trapped mid-motion within the amber itself.
