Dazed and Confused She gazes into the void With eyes that tell nothing With eyes devoid of seeing Elusive and Distant No words to express seem right No thoughts she can seem to grasp No muse that seem to last Oblivious and Uncertain It drives her insane She begins to doubt her skill Has the writer lost her will? No gentleness strikes the chord No demons thrust by the sword No darkness torn by the light No sparrows that take flight For the writer dropped her weapon And drowned in her frustration She is slipping – faltering How will she keep on standing? I'm marching on to the nightmare. I will not win this fight. I will not beat the creatures That plague me through the night. I'm marching on to the nightmare. While there, I'll meet defeat. I've tried to stand up to them But these creatures can't be beat. I'm marching on to the nightmare Where I'll face their toothy grins. In a fight with these creatures, No human could ever win. I'm marching on to the nightmare. My body will be ripped apart. My blood will spill onto their claws And my soul will lift and depart. I'm marching on to the nightmare. In these dreams, I can never win. These monsters killed me once more last night And tomorrow

Stay back shadows haunt me fill my empty ears songs of sorrow drip like open wounds dazzling shards dot the landscape and I know I'm no longer here Flicker drops of scattered blood scars like moonbeams glow inner voids echo with insane laughter tears like snow gather in an icy embrace shimmer sparkle dazzle me Captured heart with frantic dreams dangle hope from a thread taunt my inner demons to action price of life for peace to fill run until there's no tomorrow only the endless hours consumes and I am lost for eternity
