Perhaps Wilfreda has more of her mother in her than we even realized before. She was able to figure out Victor does have some goodness, even if it wasn't intentional. In any case, it was very forgiving of her to compliment him and, even better, give him some good candy. His recalcitrant behavior over his frustration is cute, and Wilfreda is adorable as she ignores it with a smile. I do feel a bit bad for him because he feels weak, or perhaps a little guilty, for not being able to stop himself from eating it anyway. In the last panel I just want to give him a big hug.
But really, what kid could ever resist a chocolate bar?
