Wilfreda's schoolmates discuss her witch behavior. There may be candy involved. Maybe. Perhaps. Who knows, really.
My guess is that the boys see her in costume so they have a bit of Halloween confusion going on. The light-haired boy's turnaround at the suggestion of candy is cute. Miss Mimi's confused look is terrific, and Wilfreda is as sweet as ever.
Oh, you can bet there's a bit of Halloween confusion. As for the kids, the chubby one is the boy who said he wanted to be a chef in the first strip, so he's a bit more prone to think of food (I will try NOT to follow the stereotype, though), and the light-haired boy is meant to become more or less the "antagonist" of the strip. A cute, harmless antagonist of sorts. You'll see what I mean in the next strips.
