Wilfreda the Wanna-Be Witch e124 by megawackymax Wilfreda the Wanna-Be Witch e124 by megawackymax
Wilfreda finds out about the sweet rolls and offers Julian some unexpected help. Also, those who've been following this webcomic may agree that Miss Mimi is over-excitable. The kids won't forget your "Short Story Assignment", Michelle.

I remember that sort of thing. Teachers who would give you homework and assignments like it's the only class you take. Not even a rare or sole example of grownups who monopolize all a kid's time and are then useless in every other aspect of school and life.
But poor Miss Mimi, they raised her hopes and dashed them quite swiftly. She had so much more to impart to them. (and Little Witch Academia is a wonderful series.)

That Little Witch Academia remark came out of left field... (but it's a wonderful series nonetheless)

And it's not "homework" per se, just a special assignment that they could also work with at school. Michelle means well, though; she notices something her students are interested in and she goes for it; she just don't seem to realize how deep she can go, some times.

LWA has a lot of "Nooo, go back, talk to her!" I'd still think Mega, you, would have some unexpected and fun ideas for Michelle to teach with, somewhere.

The kids really dodged a bullet, and Wilfreda played it off so perfectly. Heck, even I was a little creeped out when I saw Michelle's huge reaction to the kids showing a little excitement about something. I never would have expected that Wilfreda wasn't big on Miss Mimi's "inspired assignments" but I have to say I can't blame her. Her worried whispering face is great, and I can almost hear as Milagros tries not to gasp in dread. Beautifully done. Thanks.

As I mentioned in another comment, Michelle means well; she just doesn't control herself when spotting something her students are interested on. She's a firm believer of pressing on her students' skills so they develop them further, instead of a regular "everybody does the same" education (except for maths and literature, which she considers to be the foundations of knowledge).

SO... if Michelle notices a focus of interest, by dang she will jump at it.
