What a tweest! So yes, definitely surprised. It was even more fun to see Agatha give the revelation such a great build-up, leaving me as excited as Christie to see who Victor's secret admirer was.

Best of all, I love how resolute the young detective is as she admits the truth after putting on such a brave face. She's tough though, so whatever happens she'll be okay – probably better just to have gotten it off her chest. Her holding his hands was a sweet little extra touch too, both to show the affection that's missing from her expression and also to "hold him in place" while she explains.

I'm impressed that Betty figured it out already, but she's always been a bit more perceptive like that. Wilfreda's big smile was a nice treat too, even as she paid off the bet.

Now I'm anxious to see if Victor will be nice about Agatha's affections or if he'll be, well, Victor. ;) Thanks for another great bit of fun.

I'm surprised that almost nobody guessed it was going to be Agatha. That's rather good, but still...

Betty figured it out because she was paying attention. That's what you get for trying to interrogate her while she's enjoying her icecream. Tough as nails, indeed!

I've gone back through the set twice now and I still can't see the hints. Sometimes I feel like I'm not smart enough to be reading this comic.

"She was paying attention" in the sense that "maybe she saw Agatha looking at Victor at the Planetarium", or "maybe she saw Agatha and Christie sneaking into their classroom while SHE was sneaking into Ned's classroom," which then is suspicious when the sneaky person comes directly to accuse you of being responsible of an oddity most likely to do with the accuser herself.

It's a fun image, though; Betty and Agatah walking out of the classrooms, looking at each other, Agatha going "This never happened, Lunette", and Betty going "Nope," and moving away.

Well that's stretching "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." to a stupid level. If it's true then WHY go through the junior detective bit?

Good for you! So far it seems you're the only one who suspected it, considering the reactions.
