What a tweest! So yes, definitely surprised. It was even more fun to see Agatha give the revelation such a great build-up, leaving me as excited as Christie to see who Victor's secret admirer was.
Best of all, I love how resolute the young detective is as she admits the truth after putting on such a brave face. She's tough though, so whatever happens she'll be okay – probably better just to have gotten it off her chest. Her holding his hands was a sweet little extra touch too, both to show the affection that's missing from her expression and also to "hold him in place" while she explains.
Now I'm anxious to see if Victor will be nice about Agatha's affections or if he'll be, well, Victor. Thanks for another great bit of fun.
I'm impressed that Betty figured it out already, but she's always been a bit more perceptive like that. Wilfreda's big smile was a nice treat too, even as she paid off the bet.
Betty figured it out because she was paying attention. That's what you get for trying to interrogate her while she's enjoying her icecream. Tough as nails, indeed!
It's a fun image, though; Betty and Agatah walking out of the classrooms, looking at each other, Agatha going "This never happened, Lunette", and Betty going "Nope," and moving away.
