Ragdolls everywhere by megawackymax Ragdolls everywhere by megawackymax
Here's a little quirk of mine: i like to sneak a ragdoll based on one of my original characters inside any other story I draw. Those of you who have followed my many webcomics probably saw some of them already (especially Trixie's ragdoll, which is my favorite).

I do not know when or why this began, but I do not regret it. I love adding this little in-joke every now and then. So... ragdolls!

Those are really cute, Max. You should look into creating these for sale!

How's your published novel doing? Getting good reviews?

Heeeeyyyy! Long time no hear! :D

I don't know if I could sell these. To be honest, the few times I've attempted to merchandize my stuff (even with a relatively-good public) it went bad. I should work more on gaining an audience first, and THEN consider merchandizing.

I actually have two books published... and they are NOT selling, so there's that. :-P However, I am going to research on turning those into eBooks, in order to have them available world-wide. It's the most logical step, I believe.

But hey, live and learn, eh? I'll be looking for other options, that's for sure.

Take care!

Changing to ebooks is a great step. That way people can download and read immediately instead of remembering to look for the book(s) next time they venture to a bookstore, or order it online and wait for it to arrive. Once I have my fiction ready (I have an idea 95% ready to go) I'm planning to sell via ebook first. Through good online marketing, you can get good interest and word-of-mouth faster than with printed books.

I have a lot of research into creating/selling ebooks, if you need some help. There are lots of programs to convert your files, and a lot of places to sell the ebooks through. I worked backwards--I know more about the conversion and where to sell before I even have a book ready!

I don't know how it works in your country, sometimes there are restrictions and such, but you could look into Amazon's Kindle publishing. You could write little books (novellas/short stories) for your various web series, and once you get an audience, look into the ragdoll merchandise.

Good luck Max!

Thank you, Annette! I'll make sure to research as much as I can.

Right now, though, I'm focused primarily on a comic for a contest. Doing well so far, but got to finish it before Dec 19th. Gotta run!
