Been a long time since I posted an in-depth update on here. I've now finished a huge chunk of boring and repetitive work on MegaMan Unlimited. That is: Preparing all the objects, enemies, bosses and projectiles' sprites for the game. As well as their collision data. This was a lot of resizing of png sprites and writing hundreds of text files. This is long and tedious (I've been doing this for the past 2 months almost everyday, little by little) but it will be worth it once Gabriel and Jocelyn get to work on those objects. The objects will be ready and all they'll have to do is perform their magic and program them. Of course I'll have to re-touch everything and adjust the animations and sprites once we see them in game but at least, the bulk of the boring work is done.
Next, I'll get to work on the rest of the menu graphics (Game Menu, Save Menu and Shop Menu). After that, I'll get to work on re-making the NailMan song completely from scratch. (I'm not satisfied with it) I still don't know if I'll be able to make a good song so I might ask Kevvviiinnn or commandycan. I'll also do some touch up of my other songs.
I'll also have to prepare all the assets for YokuMan too. As soon as I can get the design from Starsimsuniverse.  : P
As for the game itself, as I told on my Youtube channel, progress is slowing down a little bit since we have a busy couple of months at our real jobs. Lots of stuff to do.

As for the gaming universe, the latest major news: Keiji Inafune is leaving CAPCOM. Now this is pretty sad... The guy is responsible for me getting into the videogame industry. His work inspired my whole ambitions to draw when I was a kid becoming a game designer. Seeing him leave CAPCOM kinda worries me about the company's future. I know he wasn't doing EVERYTHING and many MegaMan games were developed without him but still, it's pretty sad to see him go away after all he's done. Of course he's not dead so we might still see some more work from him but it seemed he wanted to start his life over from scratch from what I've heard.

I do agree with some of the stuff he said though, that GAMES SUCK NOWADAYS! (Not only Japanese games)

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was good but really not perfect in a lot of areas.
Many of the PSMove titles got really low ratings.
The Force Unleashed is SUPER SHORT.
Fable III is unfinished and glitchy.
Enslaved is glitchy, really short and basicaly plays itself. (And yup, this company is now working on the next Devil May Cry... *sigh*)

You get the idea. Basically, this time of the year is supposed to produce a lot of great games. So far, the majority of them have been disappointments.
I miss the time when you'd get games like Metal Gear Solid 3 or Devil May Cry 3 or Shadow of the Colossus in the days before the holidays.

The only games that I think are really great these days are Sonic 4 and Vanquish and I'm really interested in Kirby's Epic Yarn too.

Anyway, since a great deal of work is now complete (On my part), I'll cool off a bit in the next few days. I'll try to make progress on some tileset for KujaKiller and I'll probably make a drawing of Devil Hunter Yohko because I love this series. (Yeah, I'm in a nostalgic old anime mood. : )
  • Listening to: Devil Hunter Yohko Music
  • Watching: CSI (All 3 of them : P)
  • Playing: Sonic 4, MGS Peace Walker, Castlevania LoS
  • Eating: Chicken Wings (God I eat a lot of these!)
  • Drinking: Peach Juice

Hooray for Megaman Unlimited! Out of all the fan made games I have seen and/or played so far, I like yours the best. Aside from yourself, who else has managed to catch Capcom's eye like you have? I was surprised when I learned they used some of your work on the Megaman 10 website!

My personal favorite of your robot masters is Comet Woman. I think replacing Hammer Man with Comet Woman was a good move overall (despite what one particular Hammer Man fan might say).

Forgive me for being repetitive, but I think either Blast Man or Chemical Man would be an excellent choice for renaming your Nitro Man. My vote would be for Chemical Man, but Blast Man would be cool as well. Although I see the reasoning behind Trinitro Man, I personally think the name just isn't all that good.

Keep up the good work, & I am eagerly awaiting the day I finally get to play your masterpiece!

Fable III was great but I agree, it's glitchy, and I can beat it IN ONE DAY, took me 9 hours to beat that game.

There will be a trailer once the 8 Robot masters stages are done. So far there are only 2 that are done (the second is still missing an enemy type and the boss itself)

Lords of shadow could have been better, but it is still an amazing game. Granted, I play it in HD..

Yeah Nail Man's song doesn't flow together well... it sounds like a bunch of notes wound up on the same sheet.

I still have to finish Lords of Shadow. : P
I've listened to all the songs countless times but NailMan's is the only one that I can't seem to be satisfied with. : P

You seem to be stuck on trebles and scales.. how about transitioning into something bassier or less treble-ish every now and again?

You liked Sonic 4? That game was just Sonic Ruch with rehashed genesis levels and bosses.

What wrong with liking Sonic 4 its his opinion. And its not a Sonic Rush game, If it was it would have teh Boast feature, And even if they did use re-hash stuff, At least they added some level gimmicks to make it a bit fresh like the level with cards and the level with Darkness. At the least teh re-hash bosses uses some new attacks/tactics.

the only three bosses I saw that were repeats, were Splash Hill,Mad Gear and the Final Boss. The soundtrack was decent, except for the Boss Themes...too short and way too repetitive (except the final boss XD). Yes, as far as Keiji Inafune goes, nah,I don't think this will be the end for him or Megaman/Rockman...although honestly,Capcom can't possibly make things any worse for the series after making the horrible MMX7 (bad gameplay, horrible weapons (Water Laser?) and the Cel Shaded animation and Voicing didn't help. Also,a MMX9 would be a good thing to do,yush!

Yeah I've played the first Sonic games a little bit when the Sonic Collection was released on PS3 some time ago but somehow I like Sonic 4 more... I don't know why though. The slower levels can be apain but I had a lot of fun replaying the first world to get all the chaos emeralds and go through the levels fast. I LOVE the first stage song. ^_^ I haven't played Sonic Rush. Does it have the same art?

Not much, I mean its on the DS and has a different graphics engine. Most of the stuff is on 2D, But the Characters and bosses are in 3D.

Hard to say. My favorite series are MegaMan and MegaMan X, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and Fatal Frame.
So you could say I like Action and Horror games... Too bad both those genres are now mere shadows of their former selves. : P

Well, that's another step closer to getting finished with this game, if I am correct, it will hopefully be done before spring (not that there is anything wrong with that, I just want to get a chance to play it, because I will be spending a lot of time playing Pokemon Black and White in the spring)

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode 1 is a great game. I am glad Sega made it a side-scrolling game like the other three.
