TAILS AND FIONA’S NAMELESS ADVENTURE

EMERALD HILL ZONE: EMERALD HILL BASE
Tekno the Canary, and Porker Lewis were studying the red oblong shaped Chaos Emerald Sonic won in the previous grand prix match.
TEKNO: ‘From what I can make out, this is a real emerald.’
PORKER: ‘And according to the Kintobor Computer, it’s giving off an energy reading. The Metarex stole Mobius, and brought it to their region of space, along with the Megamink Earth, and many other planets. What if this emerald came from one of the stolen planets?’
TEKNO: ‘That’s a possible theory. Sonic believes there might be more of the emeralds scattered on Mobius, and he and the others are out searching for them. Tails and Fiona are on South Island, and Sonic and Amy are in the Metropolis Zone. And the others are god knows where.’
PORKER: ‘If there are more of these Emeralds out there, we’ll find them, before Eggman finds them.’
TEKNO: ‘Yeah. Wait a minute. Did you say “Megamink Earth”?’
PORKER: ‘Yeah, I mean it was an Earth, but not the same Earth Kintobor came from. An Earth parallel to his, and Mobius.’
TEKNO: ‘Yes of course.’

GREEN HILL ZONE
Tails was running about the place, looking behind every rock and plant.
TAILS: ‘Well, that’s this half of the zone done. I hope Fiona has had any luck.’
Suddenly a portal to the Nameless Zone opened in front of him.
SHIROB’S VOICE: (from the other side of the portal) ‘Miles Prower, this is Shirob. The Nameless Zone needs your help.’
TAILS: ‘Oh no, I’m always scared when they summon me. Well, I had better get this over with.’
He walked towards the portal. Fiona was a few yards away, and was getting closer.
FIONA: ‘Tails, I’ve covered the west side. Have you found any…? (Spots Tails) Oh my gosh, he’s being kidnapped! Hold on, Tails!’
Fiona ran towards the portal. Tails stepped through the portal, and Fiona jumped through a second later.

NAMELESS ZONE
Tails stepped through the portal into the village, where Shirob and the other two Enchanter Kings were. And the goblin, Prince Catalus was there too. Fiona leaped through the portal and grabbed Tails. The impact caused them to roll along the ground. The two foxes got up after they stopped.
FIONA: (confused) ‘Where are we?’
TAILS: ‘The Nameless Zone.’
KING 1: ‘Miles, who is your friend?’
TAILS: ‘This is Fiona Fox, she’s…’
KING 2: ‘Ahh, so you’re Fiona. Miles wrote about you. You’re a robot created by Doctor Robotnik, right?’
Fiona looked like she was just insulted.
TAILS: ‘Err, this is the real Fiona Fox. We only met just recently.’
KING 2: ‘Forgive my mistake, Miss Fiona.’
TAILS: ‘Prince Catalus? What are you doing here?’
CATALUS: ‘I see you remember me, Miles.’
FIONA: ‘Woe, hold on a second! Time out! Sorry to interrupt this bizarre reunion, but can you tell me what’s going on? (To Tails) Why do they keep calling you Miles? And why are we here?’
TAILS: ‘Miles Prower is my real name. But my friends, and some of my enemies, they call me Tails. I don’t wanna talk much about it. I have a chequered past as well.’
FIONA: ‘Say no more, Tails.’
TAILS: (to Prince Catalus) ‘I can remember the time you kidnapped the young foxes, Jimmy and Jilly. And I rescued them from you and your sister. So what are you doing here?’
CATALUS: ‘This emergency concerns the goblins as well as your people, Miles.’
KING 1: Some of our warriors including Errol and Morain have disappeared.’
CATALUS: ‘And some of the goblins have disappeared too.’
KING 2: ‘We suspect an unknown evil force at work here. And as you were able to defeat Robotnik, this new threat shouldn’t be a problem for you.’
SHIROB: ‘Oh and your folks wanna see you as it’s been a long time. You should visit them first before we send you on your quest.’
TAILS: ‘Okay, Shirob.’

A FEW MINUTES LATER
Tails and Fiona were walking along a footpath along the village, and they were talking to each other.
FIONA: ‘You sent letters home, telling everyone here that you were the champion of Mobius, and Sonic’s your sidekick?’
TAILS: (nervously) ‘Yes, that’s it in a nutshell. You’re not mad are you?’
FIONA: ‘Well, I would say that I’m impressed, but that would be my old careless self again. I know you meant to make your people respect you, but white lies could give them the wrong message. You should have told them the truth. Don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t see you as a champion.’
TAILS: ‘Well, I have actually succeeded in my missions here in the past, although each time I did have some extra help. Look, Fiona I don’t wanna say anymore about my past. I don’t wanna disappoint my parents.’
Fiona stopped and Tails continued walking forward.
FIONA: (shocked) ‘P…Parents?’
Tails knocked on the door of a house, and two grown up foxes answered it. They were Tails’ parents, Armadeus and Rosemary Prower.
ROSEMARY: ‘My baby! You’ve come home.’
She hugged Tails.
TAILS: (embarrassed) ‘Mom, please, not in front of my friend.’
ROSEMARY: (spots Fiona) ‘Oh, sorry about that. It’s just that I haven’t seen you for so long. You’ve grown.’
TAILS: (blushing) ‘Thanks. Mom, Dad, this is my friend Fiona. Fiona, theses are my parents, Rosemary and Armadeus.
ARMADEUS: (waving) ‘Hello there!’
Fiona stood still, looking shocked.
FIONA: ‘I’ve gotta go.’
She ran off.
ARMADEUS: ‘What’s with her?’
TAILS: ‘I don’t know. I do know she was evil at one point. And no, she isn’t the robot I told you about. I’m gonna go and see why she’s upset.’
He ran after Fiona.
ROSEMARY: ‘That was a short family reunion. I mean he’s gonna go after someone who might be more dangerous than anything he fought before.’
ARMADEUS: ‘Our son is tough. I know we’ll see him again.’

A FEW YARDS AWAY
Tails found Fiona sitting on a bench.
TAILS: ‘Fiona, was there something about my parents that scared you?’
FIONA: ‘I don’t wanna talk about it Tails! (Calms down) I’m sorry, Tails. Your parents are nice. I… I’m sorry for running off like that. I would like to meet your folks. I won’t say anything embarrassing about you (Winks). Okay?’
TAILS: ‘Okay.’

TAILS’ HOME
Tails and Fiona sat down, with Rosemary and Armadeus. And they all had something to eat.
ROSEMARY: (to Tails) ‘You almost died, saving Fiona from this Scourge?’
ARMADEUS: (to Fiona) ‘You must be really special if he were to risk his own life for you like that.’
FIONA: (blushing) ‘Yeah. Now can we talk about this upcoming mission? Tails and I were told about something evil kidnapping the goblins and the foxes.’
ROSEMARY: ‘It’s terrible. This chain of events has spread fear everywhere. Not only has it spread fear upon the Nameless Zone, but the Land Beyond as well.’
FIONA: ‘The Land Beyond?’
TAILS: ‘Home of the goblins. There was a time that the fox tribe and the goblins were sworn enemies. But recently the Goblin Overlords and the Enchanter Kings signed a peace treaty. But Morain was dead set against it. She tried to destroy the new transport bridge between the two dimensions. I feared that we might end up as enemies, but it looks as though she needs us more than ever. If she’s disappeared as well.’
ARMADEUS: ‘So Miles… I mean Tails. Do you have any news?’
TAILS: ‘Well, Shirob and Prince Catalus told me the evil one can be found in the Land Beyond. Fiona and I will go there in an hour to investigate.’ (Thinks to himself) ‘What am I getting myself into?’

AN HOUR LATER
Tails and Fiona travelled on the train leading from the Nameless Zone to the Land Beyond, on the railway track where the bridge used to be. Tails was wearing his enchanted armour, and holding his sword in his right hand.
TAILS: ‘According to Shirob and Prince Catalus, this evil lives in the Land Beyond.’
He looked nervous as he stared out the window of the train, and Fiona placed a hand on his shoulder.
FIONA: ‘You’re scared, aren’t you? Look Tails, I will always be here for you, if things should get worse.’
TAILS: ‘Thanks, Fiona. I’m just wondering how the Emerald hunt is going back home?’

MOBIUS: METROPOLIS ZONE
Bob was hiding under a dumpster. He got out a walkie-talkie.
BOB: (talking into it) ‘Hello, Squash. Come in. Oh.’
He hid under the dumpster, as Amy and Rouge walked up to each other. And as they talked, Rouge stepped on Bob’s left hand. He tried not to scream, and tried to get Rouge’s foot off him, by using a fork. Rouge lifted up her foot, and Bob sighed in relief. Then Amy stepped on his right hand.
AMY: ‘What are you doing here, Rouge?’
ROUGE: ‘The same as you. I am looking for the mysterious Chaos Emeralds.’
AMY: ‘I know you well, Rouge! You’re not helping us! You’re helping yourself! When you see a jewel, you just can’t resist stealing it!’
ROUGE: ‘On the contrary. I am helping Sonic. Is that so wrong?’
AMY: ‘Don’t even think of flirting with Sonic! He’s mine! Got that?!’
ROUGE: ‘If that’s how you feel, I will find the emeralds without you!’
AMY: (stomping her foot on Bob’s right hand) ‘Fine!’
ROUGE: (stomping her foot on Bob’s left hand) ‘Fine!’
The girls turned away from each other going “Hmm!” And they marched off. Bob moved out of sight, and Scratch materialised in front of the dumpster, looking around.
BOB: (from under the dumpster) ‘YAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOWWW!!!!!’
Scratch heard Bob, and pulled him out of hiding.
SCRATCH: ‘Well, did you find out anything?’
Bob shook his head.
SCRATCH: (pulling Bob’s face up to him) ‘Did you find out anything?’
Bob shook his head again.
SCRATCH: ‘Bob. If we’re gonna find these Chaos Emeralds, you’re gonna have to work a lot harder! We will help Sonic find those emeralds.’
Scratch stood up, and pressed his foot down on Bob’s left hand, causing him to scream again.
SCRATCH: ‘Even if it kills us.’
Scratch walked off, and Bob got up and hit his head on the bottom of the dumpster, and knocked himself out.

THE LAND BEYOND
The train stopped, and Tails and Fiona got off.
FIONA: ‘So this is the Land Beyond?’
TAILS: ‘Yes.’
FIONA: ‘It’s very grim.’
TAILS: ‘Tell me about it. When I first came here, I had to rescue Shirob, only to find out he was the evil monster, Trogg. He’s gone now, as you may have noticed, Shirob was the old Enchanter King back there.’
FIONA: ‘Oh my.’

ELSEWHERE
Someone sinister was looking at Tails and Fiona on his crystal ball.
VOICE: ‘So, the champion of Mobius is onto me mow? Perfect. Go out there and deal with them. I wanna see how much Tails has improved.’

BACK OUTSIDE
Tails and Fiona walked along the unpleasant area.
TAILS: ‘It’s too quiet. It’s like the calm before the storm.’
Suddenly, two fox warriors showed up out of nowhere and attacked Tails and Fiona, sending them to the ground. The warriors landed in front of the two fallen heroes, and Tails was shocked to see who they were. It was Errol Blackthorn, and his sister Morain. And they had evil stares on their faces.
TAILS: ‘Errol? Morain?’
The foxes eyes lit up, scaring Tails and Fiona.
FIONA: ‘They’ve been brainwashed. This evil foe must have brainwashed all those who went missing. We have no choice but to fight them, Tails.’
TAILS: ‘But I can’t.’
FIONA: ‘If we jolt them hard enough, we might be able to break this guy’s control over them. It’s just a hunch I have.’
TAILS: ‘I hope you’re right.’
MORAIN: ‘Lord Razor has sent us to destroy you, Tails.’
ERROL: ‘And you’re not getting past us without a fight!’
TAILS: ‘Lord Razor?’
FIONA: ‘You know him?’
TAILS: ‘I can honestly say I don’t. (to Morain and Errol) He must be the evil one controlling you two.’
MORAIN: (drawing out her sword) ‘Correct, you snivelling toad!’
She sung it at Tails, who jumped out of the way very quickly.
FIONA: ‘She’s mad, like Amy.’
TAILS: ‘She’s not really that mad. But she is a great swordswoman.’
FIONA: ‘Now it’s my turn!’
She leaped into the air, and kicked Morain down. Errol screamed as he charged at Tails. The young Fox dodged his attack, and punched him in the gut. Errol stopped in his tracks and fell to the ground. Suddenly, his eyes stopped glowing. And so did Morain’s. They woke up, and saw Tails.
MORAIN: ‘Tails? What’s going on?’
ERROL: (getting up) ‘My stomach.’
TAILS: ‘Sorry about that Errol. You were brainwashed by some guy called Razor.’
MORAIN: ‘That beast! He’ll pay for this, I promise!’
FIONA: ‘I’m Fiona Fox. Can you help Tails and me find this guy?’
SINISTER GUY’S VOICE: ‘There is no need for that. I have decided to come to you.’
They all turned to see him. He was a teenage fox in silver armour. A sword was placed in a sheath attached to the back of his armour. He had crimson fur like Fiona’s. And also, he had not one, or two, but three tails. He smiled evilly as he looked at Tails and his friends, who were shocked by his physical appearance.
FOX: ‘I am Razor the Crimson Kitsune! And I am your destruction!’
