Krita Brush Pack by meemodraws Krita Brush Pack by meemodraws
Hi, everyone.

I like Krita a lot and I would like to share something with the community of users.

I've done a compilation of the brushes that I usually use more frequently. Some of them are not created by me, just a little variation of some default presets. The inks and smudges are originals.

I tried to make beautiful icons like in MyPaint.

I hope you find this useful.

I think you forgot the textures ?  Half the brushes are missing them / the brush tip settings
Luarst Featured By Owner Jan 24, 2018
These seem to work great, thanks. I definitely prefer your sketch brushes to the default.
Really useful that you laid out what each should be used for too. I can give them proper names without spending hours thinking upon it.

I used them here:…

I really really really love them and now I can't used them with the updated version of Krita. It's so sad! They're so beautiful!
I hope there will be a way to use them again ♥ awesome work!

to install: uncompress the zip files you get when dowloading. (Your file should end with " .bundle") Open Krita. Open a document('cause most of the things you can do is locked witout a open document.) Click "settings", and click the second button. A New menu shows up. Click Import bundles in the top right corner. Choose the bundle you want to install. click "ok". You must restart Your Krita to use the bundle.
grozeil Featured By Owner Mar 15, 2017
When i uncompress, the file don't end by ".bundle", it create a new folder with ".kpp" files
iiBlossomee Featured By Owner Jan 28, 2018
.kpp files go in "painttopress"

I've had the chance to play around for an afternoon with your brush designs, and you've really created something special with these.  I suspect a lot of us on these forums appreciate just how much of a hit it is to have a solid set of brushes to be comfortable with.  You've really stepped up in the spirit of open source and I commend you tremendously for it.  Combined with another set of brush presets, I've been able to pull together all I'll ever need (until the next new cool thing I tempt myself into).  Anyway, a big thank you again.  You've got a gift for designing these exceptionally well.

(Last thing: For what it's worth, these almost immediately had the look and feel I'd come to know with MyPaint.  So mission accomplished on that front.)

I have a problem with these brushes. Some of them are not working (11 out of 24 not working). I'm currently using Krita 3.0. Is there a way to fix this or update them?

"Krita"? I thought these tools were for GIMP? I never heard of Krita before, is it MAC capable and is it freeware?
Kittencraft Featured By Owner Apr 24, 2016  Hobbyist Digital Artist
I think Krita works for MAC and it is free.
foxes76133 Featured By Owner Apr 29, 2016
Where can I find a version of it?
Kittencraft Featured By Owner Apr 30, 2016  Hobbyist Digital Artist…
The only thing is, for Mac, it says that it is unstable But it lookslike it''s possible to download...I don't know if it will work or if it won't. Sorry if I'm of no help.

This is going to sound stupid, but how to I download them? I know how to import them into Krita, but not how to get them in the first place.
elihaun Featured By Owner Aug 21, 2016  Professional General Artist
on the left of the picture is a 'download' button.  usually it lets you see an image in full size, but due to this being a zip file it will allow you to download the brushes.  the main 'image' is just a preview
Boz-G Featured By Owner Dec 8, 2015
I downloaded the zip file and installed (.kpp files) it into Krita but there are some brushes missing.  Do you have those uploaded?

Hi im a newbie Krita fan, i was wondering how to make a thin to thick tapered brush ? I dont have the pressure ability since im not using a drawing tablet . I have a laptop and mouse =D. Is there a tutorial on how to change the brush settings to get the effect?
tsubasa-no-tenshi22 Featured By Owner Jun 28, 2017  Hobbyist General Artist
Hello! i have the same question while ago and find the answer: Many of Krita's brushes have built-in smoothing algorithms, but if you want to draw pretty smooth lines even though you're stuck with a mouse, do this:

Locate the brush preset called Curve_Smooth
Select the brush mode "Paint with brushes using dynamic movement"
In tool option, increase drag to say... about 50~70.

The page where i find this info is:…. I hope it helps! :)
SugarySweetChan Featured By Owner Mar 6, 2016  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Hi there! I'm also a krira newbie fan:heart: I just love this program!
Unfortunately,if you mean the effect of getting smoother lines and pressure, a mouse doesn't record pressure levels. Believe me, I'm willing to buy a tablet and ditch my mouse:D. I also use a mouse but it got damaged, so I don't really paint these days!
kaichi1342 Featured By Owner Jan 6, 2016  Hobbyist General Artist
I think there is a way to get it by speed rather than pressure.

I tried to install (copy paste) in my mac your brushes, but they don't show up (other collections have a paintoppresets folder together with the brushes, but not with your folder), How I can make your brushes to work in my Krita 2.8 for mac? Thanks
Rebornkings777 Featured By Owner Feb 22, 2015  Hobbyist General Artist
this need to import to mypaint, it would  be aweesome!
Kieke-boe Featured By Owner Edited Feb 18, 2015
Thanks for your awesome brushes. For the next person to install them, I'd just like to say, Copy them into the folder, don't use the import resource button that Krita provides...
