RULES OF SUBMISSION! (you peasants)
1. We accept any form of deviation as long as it is realistic to the medieval era, we're not too specific on the century, we have folders for the dark ages and even the renaissance if you're crazy like that!
2. DO NOT submit works of fantasy settings etc. Legends like Robin Hood or King Arthur are ok though!
3. DO make sure you submit to the correct folder!
4. DO NOT submit to the featured folder - that is for the top picks from our monthly tourney!
5. DO feel free to go for obscure scenes like bear baiting, or gong farming (preferably the former!), the Medieval Ages wasn't all knights and jousts!

Now, a message from our regent, Martin Whittaker (a.k.a Wyndworm):

Medieval Minds is a group for all those who represent the middle ages in art and are interested in the medieval era, ranging from the time of Alfred the Great to Richard III in English terms. 800's AD - 1485 AD (early renaissance is also accepted) a colourful time of chivalry, honour, feudalism, castles, christianity and art but also a time of intrigue, war, brutality, famine and plague. All these factors and more have been represented by artists in the past and modern day, Millais showed a deep interest in the romances of the middle ages showing Arthurian knights and damsels in distress now Graham Turner represents the raw realistic reality of late medieval combat. This is a group for artists who represent the medieval world , how they imagine it, how they reenact great medieval events and how they represent medieval characters like Richard III, Charlemegn, Richard I, Edward III, the Black Prince, Guthrum, Chevalier de Bayard, Simon de Montfort, Richard Nevile "Kingmaker", Geoffrey Chaucer, Erasmus, Albrecht Durer and many more colourful medieval characters or perhaps just the lowly Villein? Your choice, knights,Arthur, castles, great men, or monks, gothic architecture anything to do with the middle ages will be accepted.

So join "Medieval Minds" the active group for those who relive the glory and the horror of the medieval era.

If you have trouble joining give me a comment and I'll personally invite you.

Happy new year to all! Me and Wyndworm have been very busy these past few months due to university work, but our new years resolution is to devote more time to the well being of this group! Hurray!

In the meantime, listen to this wonderful song to get you in the spirit for the new year:… (yes it's scrooge, but it's appropriate!)!

Have a good one, and keep creating!

Yay! I'll try to stay relatively active this time around
Oh, real quick, would somethinglike this be allowed in here? The armor is far from historical, yet is vaguely based on historical sources.…
