Other Interests
Photography, music, knowledge. After battling with apache so that I could build a site in php locally and then fighting with php so that it worked at all and then uninstalling everything and taking the easy way out ( ) then making a kinda hacked together cms (using text files and directory trees because I couldn't be bothered learning to use mysql, though in hindsight it's probably not hard; should probably have tried before giving up) I caved and got a blog. I'm stuck with that style until I decide if I care enough about the whole project to buy the right to use custom css or just move the whole thing to a real host. T

I've forgotten why I stopped posting here. Maybe I got bored of it, maybe I didn't need to anymore, maybe it was the user agreement; god knows. My last journal seemed happy enough. I've forgotten why I joined in the first place. I almost posted here again. I've got more photos lying around, some of them I really like and some kinda suck but I keep them around incase I want to show someone something they'll like. Some of them I really want people to see, even though they didn't turn out how I'd have planned and they're not terribly easy on the eye. They're in some folder that I honestly can't remember anymore and they'll probably stay there

Reading: The Tiger in the Well, Philip Pullmann and Collapse: How societies choose to fail or survive, Jared Diamond Listening to: Belle and Sebastian - Dear Catastrophe Waitress and Custard - Loverama. One, then the other, then the first one, then the other, constantly. What the hell, I've seen so many things in the last few days that have just made me think, 'Damn, I've really gotta try that.' Nearly everything's inspiring me, and there isn't really anything stopping me from following through on some of my ideas apart from time. I've got colours in my head and I've got some shapes too. I've got this feeling that I've got it in me to reall

hey mctaggart (alias aidan)
your photos are amazing. i haven't looked at all of them yet, but i especially love the two most recent ones. the out-of-focus one is so eerie, and sort of abstract. i love it.
also 'wrapped up in books'. there's a strong sense of things missing (not that something is missing from your photo, but as if you are photographing emptiness. that seems to be a kind of theme, with the intersections too).
really, really excellent.
maybe i'll start putting some things on my deviantart page soon :)
Thanks Anna, this comment made my day.
The earlier photos are more luck than intent (although the first one in the gallery is probably the first photograph I actually made).
Do put some of your work up, I'd love to see some of it.
See you soon.
Hey, thanks for the kind words. I think your work is really good. I especially like your use of lighting...seems we are brothers united in natural lighting. Roll on!
