Attending Hosts: SirEgglington and Peanut-Mochi

If there's any groups that works with other areas of the UK, you're more than welcome to affiliate with us and we can advertise each other's meets - Hetalia or not!

:facebook: MCM Hetalia People! / MCM-Hetalia-People post UK Hetalia meets at conventions, mostly focusing on the London area.

:facebook: You need to join our groups on facebook to RSVP any of our events on there! Join the respective groups and make sure you not only RSVP to our copy of the event, but to the original too!

Themes
A new theme is introduced every season, every year. We accept suggestions for themes in November, and vote on them in December-January.

The themes are the added bit of fun and we're thinking of hosting competitions celebrating them! They are OPTIONAL and you may wear whatever you want to our meets~

You actually don't have to be cosplaying Hetalia to attend ANY of our meets! You can be cosplaying anything, or you can just show up as yourself! The only requirement is that you're a fan, or interested, in Hetalia!

If you want to host an event, always check our schedule and ask an Admin before posting your own event, this is due to the overwhelming amount of people that want to host or help at particular events.

If you want to see an event happen somewhere or at a particular convention or festival, let us know and we'll see if anyone on facebook is interested in hosting and we can do a trial run!

We've currently reached the limit of Admins, please don't ask if you can join as an Admin. The Founder and Head Admin select Admins when there's vacancies.

Event Rules
The rules can be found in our information document which can be downloaded from our facebook group (we will put a link here when we have time!)

Just a question about the flag rule, for clarification. If you are cosplay as a country, Eg: England, is it or is it not okay to bring a British Flag/Union Jack?
This is just for clarification, so I'm 100% sure on what the rule is.

It's okay but you must treat the flag with proper respect; it's simply highly discouraged.

Hello there, Im Zoie and Im one of the admins here

It is okay to have a flag but what we ask is you are respectful of them like dont leave them laying on the floor where someone could step on them.

Dont hit people with them or things like that

Have them on a suitable pole and dont deface them in any way--if that makes it a little clearer

Oh and try to refrain from wearing it like a cape as well :3

um i hope thats been a little help for you, I do apologise for not replying sooner ^^

Hi, One of the admins here. Flags are allowed but we really prefer if they are only brought out for photo shoots ect. But really it's your property. We only ask that your considerate and look after the flag as some people can take offence at their or someones national flag being abused. It's really a reminder to act appropriately and be considerate of others.

Hey, there Addy one of the Admins here.

Meet in London:And to be honest my best tip is just to be your selfand enjoy your time there. If you can get a travel ticket (underground or bus) do as sometimes if it gets too hot or chilly or just in general want a change of scenery the group may move locations. If you're worried of getting lost ask an Admins number.

In general if your feeling lost or left out find the admin and their help you out. Everyone is really nice

For London MCM: just make sure you have the right location and if we've seemed to poof or arn't there then have a look inside as the weather may of made us change locations but if you're there at the start we should always be there.

So short snappy guide:

1) Be your self and have fun and nothing offensive.

2) Admins are your friends.

3) Make sure you look after your self!

Thank you :D also I have another question, do you have to book tickets or can we come normally and dose it cost money to get in? I live in Norfolk so it will take at least 2-4 hours for me to even get to London, let alone the convection so I'll have to do allot of booking thanks in advance :)

Sorry kind of a long text post

Well for conventions them selves, yes, you will need tickets. Even if you don't plan on visiting the dealers room you will need a wristband so you don't get escorted off the property.

Their relatively cheap. You have two options.

Buy on the day for a General access ticket. This will cover you for the whole day. The downside is if you don't get the right time you could end up queuing for a while. (my first time I got their at peak and waited about 3 hours).

These cost:
On the Day General Entry Adult (15+) 12.
On the Day General Entry Child (11-14) 8.
On the Day General Entry Child (10 & Under) Free.

Buy in advance online. I personally buy all my tickets online now as you simply print off the document they send you (or bring up the doc on a phone/tablet if your techy) they then scan the bar code at the ticket stalls give you your wristband and you can move about freely. However these are classed as priority tickets so they cost a bit more (15 friday and 17.50 for the saturdays or 31.00 for the whole week end for both child and adult*) but you can go in earlier than everyone else and the queue time is anything from instantaneous to half an hour at the most.

But everyday your need a valid ticket (or a weekend ticket wristbands for the whole day) if you're on the grounds outside they occasionally check you for a wrist band so it's always best to have one. If you have a guardian or parent that isn't attending the event it's best for them to wait for you off the convention grounds or at the station or just tell them to explain the situation to the bouncers if their questioned. (their really polite so don't worry.

More info here: www.mcmcomiccon.com/london/tic…

P.s

If you're coming to the con we can't wait to see you. Also for meet up times, theirs two meets going on, ours and another but both are great (and more than likely we'll end up merging). So hope this giant waffle helped.

* I think they went up in price QAQ

Well... I am hoping to find and make a Hetalia cosplay by May, I'll probably end up going as Nyo!Spain or Chibitalia. If not, I'll end up cosplaying as Miku Hatsune. I have so many options and I don't know what to choose! I know I need to make my mind up soon though ;u;
What are you cosplaying? ^_^

Hey, I know I sound a little/lot stupid, but what does it mean by a conference? ouo

We have 'Meets' - These are gatherings hosted solely by us in London! It's nothing big and fancy, it's just like a Birthday Picnic or a Cosplay Meet - I dunno if you've been to them but that's the kind of thing we do! We pay particular attention to minors and try to keep them safe.

'Conferences' is refering to Hetalia's World Conferences in the anime (the introduction episode?), these are just like meets only they are hosted at conventions such as MCM London Comic Con, Hyper Japan, or London Film and Comic Con.

Hope this makes sense!

I went to the meet in October, so that's like a photoshoot and games then? I was only around for the photoshoot though D:

I think I've seen one of those on youtube, so would it be like everyone sits around a table like at a conference?

Our meets start an hour before the photoshoot to give attendees a chance to socialise before our activities begin, the photoshoot is first and games follow. Sometimes people do dancing or projects (such as cosplay video recording sessions and such) but usually we just do games and a photoshoot.

No, it's actually nothing like that. We don't sit around a table, we use the term 'Conference' loosely. It's nothing like that, it's just a gathering of Hetalia fans to hang out and have fun. We have many photos in our 'Convention' folders for you to get an idea of what our 'Conferences' are like.
