Halloween Icon Dracula by mayorlight Halloween Icon Dracula by mayorlight
Wanting to post something at my cubicle at work for Halloween, I penciled, inked and colored this full body portrait of that famed iconic vampire, Count Dracula.

I actually referenced artwork of Strahd Von Zarovich (who practically is Dracula in the Ravenloft campaign setting) for this piece.

I chose to color his suit and cape violet, since it's more vibrant than black or gray (and since red and violet are neighbors on the color wheel). My red Prismacolor began to die as I colored in the right hand side of his cape.

Befittingly, I was also watching Castlevania playthroughs on YouTube as I worked on this.

Thanks for the kudos and :+fav:s. :)

I've got to ask now...have you read the original Dracula novel by Bram Stoker?

I can not read it, but whenever I see the evil and certainly stylish that make the character.
But honestly, now that you mention it, I would like to read the novel.
