I can't believe it's nearing the end of June already, six months have gone so fast in some ways :faint:  I'm sitting watching the FIFA World Cup Soccer Footy  highlights and wow has there ever been some upsets in regards to teams that we're favoured to win, and have been beaten by the "underdog's"...I have always my whole life, cheered for the underdog's and I think it's fantastic that finally, they too get recognised for their accomplishments :salute:  :Winner: remake :hooray:
Some good news...I'm doing really good :)  The nerve pain has gone in my neck finally, and even though I still struggle with lack of strength in my shoulders and the odd twang of pain, I'm managing quite well and able to do more things!  Sleeping lying down is STILL an issue...so we are thinking of an alternative special bed that I c

You think horseshoe falls are pretty now? Go there at night, and find the glow worms. This is why i love tassie :3 good photo
MayEbony's avatar
Oh, that would be amazing.  I've never seen a glow worm.  I don't think they're to be found in Perth unfortunately.  We'll be holidaying down south, Pemberton, next month.  I'll have to find out if there are any there.  Tassie was so gorgeous and we hope to go again.

Its hard to find glow worms during the day, but you can find them. Its just easier at night obviously haha.
Search in caves, that's where you'll be most likely to see them

Oh, thank you.  There are caves around the Pemberton area so maybe we will get to see some.  Funnily enough, a friend of mine had her sister visit recently and we got to meet her.  She lives south of Hobart.  And just now I was looking at my ViewBug account and have been chatting with a lady who turns out to be from Richmond, Tassie.  3 Tasmanians in my life in 2 weeks.  That's pretty unusual.

Heel hartelijk bedankt Sonja.  It was so wonderful to be there.  We have nothing like that where I live in Western Australia, it's so dry down here in the southern 3/4s of the state.

A nice change if you are used to a dry environment. I would love to try out pictures like this one  also but I don’t have a dark lens. Is it hard to do? I was a demo on the internet and I have everything I need except the dark lens. Last year we moved to the Netherlands so now we live closer to the sea and I could try it out on the water.

I just used my normal 18-270 zoom lens with no filter.  We were quite shaded by trees, plus Tasmania is a lot further south (cooler in the southern hemisphere of course) so it was not bright sun at all.  I just experimented with shutter speeds until I was happy with the results.  You can look at the exif on the page if you wish - or ask any other questions, if I can remember the answers :D  Oh, that would be wonderful to try it on the sea.  I live near the ocean - I can walk there - so during winter, on a cloudy day I could try it there too.

I will!
It will give wonderful pictures! Go for it!
