Another heads up about that FNAF tr- uh, bully

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 28, 2018, 2:02 PM

19.05.2018: It’s okay, guys, he’s been banned. All is finally well again.

It all began with this.

Dhfsgj by Maxtaro

As he was venturing on this non-stop kinkshaming spree, I published a journal about the above conversation and dankfox12 took his discussion with me to notes, and I set the record straight on why going around and threatening to report people for having a fetish is outdated and immoral. He eventually promised to stop, on account that I stop following him. "Hopefully never again." I guess I should've told him that I'll be keeping watch by elaborating on "hopefully" and not post it as a status update, me being a clueless autist, because when he discovered a journal back from 2009 about why a woman poses naked, mentioning that it helps her finally feel comfortable in her own body after living a life of sexual abuse and eating disorders...

Dhgsjfh by Maxtaro

In retrospect, maybe I should've just kept my cool during this discussion, or better yet not just turned this into another thread for all to see, but let's all just block this bully, as I have done rather than starting another war. It doesn't look like he'll learn anytime soon.

11.05.2018: ...WOW.

Part 2 of my Steven complaint

Journal Entry: Sat Aug 13, 2016, 3:53 PM

Get ready to be triggered.

The PPG reboot opened up my frustration over the current state of Cartoon Network Studios, and overtime my enjoyment of We Bare Bears and Steven Universe has sunk not just because of spoilers, but because they represent the state of their production studio in this age - diverse in every aspect but style. Ever since hipster 20-somethings with a passion for memes and existentialism took control, I felt like the only one who could feel his childhood slowly starting to melt, and not realise it until one of these shows got spoiled more than possibly any show that’s ever buzzed in front of me.

Steven would be a perfectly good watch if it was placed alongside livelier, more timeless shows that didn’t have any subject matter that would fly over childrens’ heads but could entertain adults in equal measures, but it represents the best and worst of present-day Cartoon Network; characters with defined personalities, strong she-leads, smart writing and complex, human storytelling, but also humour that sees its web popularity as no coincidence, melodrama prominent to the point of becoming forced, more reliance on internet culture than any other network and diversity so broad that it becomes a tad overbearing. I’m friggin’ all for diverse representation, but the problem is that these so-called cartoons are designed, written and created by the average Tumblr/Twitter user, these being the (un)safe havens for Japan-inspired nerds and crazy social justice warriors. This is exactly why I had doubts about the Powerpuffs being rebooted from the moment they announced that they’d do it.

Yes, I’m the kind of person who looks for mature stories surrounding real situations and characters with depth, and animation has provided and should provide more mature stories than so many American movie studios think it can. Animation should be treated like the kind of art it is. But animation can’t just have one single personality. As proven with all its original programming from Steven to PPG 2016, no matter how good, Cartoon Network is just too real now to even be considered Cartoon Network.

Opinions on this show are respectable, but this fandom has grown to be a clusterfuck that in many cases fills in for bronies; almost everyone I know has Peridot or a gem’s meme-y face as their icon and will spoil an episode for what feels like an eternity after its premiere. Some fans will even look past the show’s morals about acceptance no matter what size, gender, sexuality, mental issue or whatnot and trash each other to the brink of suicide. I’m losing enjoyment of this show even during its best episodes not just because it isn’t as effective as, say, Wander Over Yonder or BoJack Horseman, but the thoughts of this fandom and the slow death of comedy at the CN Studios invade my brain constantly and make me feel like a bitter old man trapped in the body of guy in his early 20′s. And during this experience, Lauren Zuke Joss Whedon’d her Twitter because of fans crying like the characters in this show over their ships.

This show isn’t bad, yet, but it’s starting to channel my inner John Kricfalusi.

But what do I know? I prefer Uncle Grandpa.

19.10.2016: I've come to a conclusion - yes, this show is pretty damn bad now.

Bongo still needs a voice!

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 19, 2016, 3:09 PM

Five people have signed on to do the extra voices for my next Pooh's/BL&J's Adventures parody, and are making good progress on their lines. However, Bongo Bearbladder, one of the central characters, has been flubbed and turned down too much to make progress any faster. All I need is a decent voice for this character, and it would be a damn pleasure if someone could pull him off in a way I find perfect. Message me or your friends if you've got an idea! And try to go easy on who I've already hired, okay? I'm not expecting too much brilliance in a parody of terrible storytelling. Besides, Bongo's VERY choosy.

Bongo Bearbladder needs a voice!

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 2, 2016, 2:17 AM

Bongonovoice by Maxtaro
The casting process for my upcoming LKHFF Adventures parody sequel is running quite smoothly; all five winners now have the whole script and TheMilanTooner, RetroMagFan and PotatoFairy93 have already contributed as much of their voices as they could. However, this project is missing a voice for one of its main characters. Nobody has been able to voice or nail Bongo, the project's Leo, and a decent voice has been hard to find. Trying is optional with everyone else, but the main four bears have to be as charismatic as possible because they matter. One of the VA's suggested the voice of a gruff, angry Scotsman, so if you know well enough about Pooh's Adventures or any other rubbish crossovers to take a slam on it and can pull off or know someone who can pull off Bongo just the way I want him to sound, message me or ask a friend!

Introducing Turdie's bear crew!

Journal Entry: Fri Feb 19, 2016, 4:40 PM

Here's the four main characters in my upcoming, beyond tasteless parody project, Turdie and the Bears' Adventures of Citizen Toxie, which once again tackles the very concept of Pooh's Adventures and its fans, especially those who aren't quite as sane as a certain beast is nowadays.

TURDIE F. BEARSTARD

The leader of the gang, obviously. The psychotic manchild with every fetish imaginable who cares too much about crossovers to know what “give up” means, let alone “women’s rights”. Resurrected as a mutant bear after having an Eppaljeck turn his Boomer self into a Big Mac, he is determined to go on adventures in every single movie, TV show, video game or commercial that ever existed 24/7 without understanding what trouble it could get him and his friends into. Basically, he took a page from Benny’s formula but not his intelligence, honesty or artistic talent. He’s a bigger wacko than YakkoWarnerMovies101, his idol.

Voiced by me

BONGO BEARBLADDER

A grumpy, muscular, Scottish black bear who is sick and tired of Turdie’s shenanigans but has to join in to save his own life, no matter how much they suck. He doesn’t have the biggest appetite of the gang, but will easily go on full bear mode in order to defend his friends. Bongo ended up being more than what Turdie envisioned him as. Then again, Turdie never expected any personality out of these characters at all. At least his girlfriend’s a pony.

Voice not yet taken

FRANKY THE PANDA

A teenage panda unrelated to Pancada from The Little Panda Fighter, who knows how to use weapons more than anyone else in the gang. He is obsessed with 90′s teenage tropes and weapons, almost as much as those two guys associating ponies and trains with gunplay.

Voiced by TheMilanTooner

MAE THE SUN BEAR

The girl of the gang who unsurprisingly suffers the most. A smart feminist and a technical wiz trapped in the body of fat fetish material, Mae tries to make the most out of her body, which she has grown to love overtime, but can’t help but want to go back to her healthy self with all the objectification Turdie’s throwing at the poor girl. She gives fantastic hugs, I will say that.

A sequel to the ultimate Pooh's Adventures lampoon

I want to like Peridot so bad...

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 7, 2016, 4:54 PM

Watching Steven Universe is such an awkward experience nowadays. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good show. Its stories can be great, its design is lovely, and since Peridot bonded with the gems it’s finally played things safe in terms of emotion rather than have characters constantly cry. But I just can’t bring myself to respect it entirely because it’s something that’s just plain everywhere at this point; just to look at a single element from it elsewhere is a nuisance. And to think - I used to have a crush on Amethyst.

I’ve talked about this plenty before, but this honestly wouldn’t such a problem if the fandom spared a thought for those who haven’t seen it, especially those outside of America. Instead, everyone’s exploiting spoilers the hour after an episode has aired, occasionally without tagging them. The world isn’t made up exclusively of the USA - not every fan will get to see these episodes at the exact same time as you do.

I really want to love this show again, charming as it is, and I feel like doing so during numerous episodes. But loving Steven Universe is now a far too normal trait for its own good, and with Tumblr it shows. I prefer to deviate from the norm. There are half a dozen cartoons ongoing that suit me more, mainly because it’s not often I have to try and dodge things I’m not yet supposed to see from those.

About the Undertale comic...

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 1, 2015, 8:57 AM

Yeah, so as a 22½th birthday gift I unsurprisingly unleashed a shitstorm with that Undertale strip amongst zombangry fanatics, so I removed it so they can have fun crying about my judgment and fat fetish while I can just relax, have a nice cup of tea and try to live a peaceful life without having to deal with much of this skeleton game you hold so dear to your heart.

Yes, you can enjoy Undertale all you like, but can I please just go one day without seeing a single element from the game that could count as a spoiler? Tumblr Savior isn’t perfect, you know.
