My novel YOU DON'T THINK SHE IS is written mainly in the voice of the 40-something year old male narrator, Brian Pressley, looking back at his junior high-high school years. But my present day writing, the email stories, etc, are mainly written in the voices of female characters: Brian's best-friend-turned-wife Margo, his high school sweetheart Christy, his sister Rita, and Christy's daughter (and Rita's best friend) Maura. There are male characters in my email story --Brian, Marty (Christy's husband), Tony (Margo's son and Rita's husband), Luke (Maura's ex-boyfriend)-- but for some reason, when I've wanted to write lately, I've been doing s

My writing this week has been the usual: writing character emails (wrapping up the last storyline and going in search of the next one) and working on revisions to YOU DON'T THINK SHE IS. Last spring at this time, I submitted a different version of YOU DON'T THINK SHE IS than the one I'm working on right now. That manuscript was good, but it didn't really tell the story I wanted to tell. It told TOO MANY stories: the story of the two main characters, Brian (narrator) and Margo (his best friend) becoming best friends, and then the story of Brian and Christy becoming boyfriend-girlfriend. I am a writer who kind of found this website through a couple coworkers who are VISUAL artists. I have two blog sites (one where I post both standard blogtype ravings, and another that's essentially an ongoing experiment in epistolary fiction, a soap opera in email, if you will), so I really don't need another venue for my writing. So I've kind of wondered what I'm doing on this site, and what I want to do here now that I've found it (besides browse the artsy black and white nude shots). I've sort of decided that what I want to do here is post material about my writing process... what I go through, how I write, how I get the material out, wh

Max, Here is the article about help queries: [link]
Max, Here's a writer's page I found. [link] Thought you might like to see how fiction deviations are done. If you have more questions, there's a way you can submit a help query. Ask me, and I'll send that along. Enjoyed reading the first e-mail. I'm hooked & will read more when I have time. See ya at the Harvie!
Hmmmm... this might work. The blog is getting unmanageable. Simply too hard to navigate, as I'm sure you're seeing.

Thanks for reading my stuff... we'll see how the next couple days at the market go... if I was you, I'd keep my distance, haha... :-)
0_o; WOW ITS YOU!!! lol it took me about 5minutes to work out who this was...hahaha sorie...
so how goes everything?
