Megatron: It may be hard to believe, but Megatron was once a respected general and war hero. Frustrated with the High Council's inability to resolve Cybertron's issues after the war with the Quintessons, he felt he knew what was best for everyone. This belief led Megatron to form the Decepticons, initiating a revolution and declaring himself Supreme Leader. However, many bots opposed his authoritarian rule and expressed their dissatisfaction in extreme ways. As he grew increasingly paranoid, Megatron became obsessed with eliminating perceived threats, particularly the Autobots, and developed a deep-seated hatred for their leader, Optimus Prime.

Starscream: This cunning robot secured his current position due to his sharp intellect and persuasive speech. During the first war for Cybertron, Starscream acted as a mole for Megatron, providing critical information to the Decepticons. After their victory, Megatron appointed him as the Supreme Commander of the Decepticon Air Force. Now, Starscream aims to become the Supreme Leader, believing that his flattery will keep Megatron unaware of his treachery. Although he boasts boldly, he often retreats when the situation worsens, preferring to send in his troops first to weaken the enemy before claiming victory for himself.

Soundwave: Not much is known about Soundwave—where he comes from, how he acquired his abilities, or what keeps him loyal to Megatron. He tends to keep to himself, speaking only when he has something important to say; otherwise, he typically replies with “affirmative” or “negative.” Even in his interactions with Megatron, he mostly acts as a sounding board for his plans. His only companions are his two Minicons, Ravage and Laserbeak, who also serve as his primary means of gathering information. As the Decepticons' chief surveillance officer, Soundwave is highly skilled at collecting intelligence on the Autobots and even within the Decepticon ranks, which likely explains why Megatron keeps him by his side.

Demolisher: Among all the Decepticons, Demolisher has been with Megatron since the very beginning. The two fought together during the Quintesson War, where they built mutual respect for one another. Demolisher was one of the first to join Megatron when he founded the Decepticons, and he continues to serve as the Supreme Commander of the Decepticon Ground Troops. He has developed a strong dislike for fellow Commander Starscream, often disapproving of Starscream's underhanded tactics. Over the years, Demolisher has begun to question whether their actions are truly justified.

Image

Lugnut: At first glance, Lugnut may seem like a complete fool, but his behavior is rooted in his unwavering loyalty to Megatron. If Megatron told him to jump, he would do so without asking how high. Lugnut idolizes Megatron and desperately wants to impress him, aiming to become one of his lieutenants. However, this ambition often drives him to go out of his way to prove his worth, which typically fails. Fortunately, he is quite durable and usually emerges from difficult situations unscathed.

Knockout: Knockout doesn’t serve Megatron out of loyalty or to gain an advantage; rather, he chooses to be on the winning side. He is quite vain, taking great pride in his appearance and making a big deal out of even the smallest damage to his finish. Additionally, Knockout is even more of a coward than Starscream, outright refusing to engage in any conflict and preferring to stay in his medical lab. However, on the rare occasions when he does go into the field, he often convinces a larger Decepticon, usually Lugnut, to accompany him.

once again, a special thanks to my friend RobinCastle for doing this amazing artwork.

Once again, my compliments to the artist. The designs look great. I notice you went with a wider mix of eras for this cast; your season 1 Autobots were all classic G1 characters, but here we have Cons from Armada, Animated and Prime alongside the classic trio of Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave. I can understand why you went this route; including these characters gives your cast a wider array of personalities, abilities and body types. For example, Thundercracker and Skywarp may be classic Decepticons, but I get that you wanted some variety in your cast and they are do look nearly identical to Starscream. Plus you must want to save Shockwave, the Constructicons and the Insecticons for a later season.

Interesting that instead of being a miner who rebelled against the system keeping him down, you instead went with Megatron being Cybertron's military leader who staged a coup when the High Council wouldn't take action to better Cyberton's society after he fought so hard to protect it. And now, having descended into tyranny due to his own arrogance and paranoia, the Autobots are the rebels fighting his totalitarian regime.
