That’s still not nearly enough. And I don’t see any connection with “Gangsta’s Paradise” other than it somewhat fitting with Sonic’s edgy, street-smart attitude in the face of adversity. Plus, there are so many roles Jim Carrey has played over the years that I haven’t seen yet that I’m sure were ten times better suited for him than as Robotnik.
Let’s face it; cinema about toons co-existing in real life let alone live-action adaptations of cartoons just can’t work anymore if 2d animation really no longer sells as well as CGI has proven to, nor if the source material is given fair dues. Max G’s proposal was only wishful thinking at best.
You see? I can’t be too open-minded about current media, no matter how everyone else makes the best of it. It doesn’t take an hour and a half of your time to see why, either. Intuition and instinct come into play then. This is why I’ve been more selective of current media I look into and support or else inventory on the classics in hopes of preserving the standards and practices people have forgotten about over the years.
