Doggies 5th Birthday

Doggies 5th Birthday

Doggie is now 5 years old. It has been an interesting first 5 years with Doggie, traveling many different places with her from the mountains to the oceans. I am looking forward to continuing our adventures together.

Japanese Dog Preservation Society

Japanese Dog Preservation Society

AT the end of February the Japanese dog preservation society held a dog show where they displayed the various breeds of Japanese dogs to be judged. Some of the dogs shown were the Shikoku, Hokkaido, Kishu, Shiba, Kai and the Akita. Although the Kai, Shiba and the Akita are fairly easy to differentiate the Shikoku, Hokkaido and the Kishu seem to be harder as they seem to have many similarities in both shape and colouring. Doggie did not take part in the show but watched from the sidelines as other dogs too part in being judged, and later met up with some other Kais which came to also watch and to take part in the show.

Fun Walk

Fun Walk

On the 17th of January around 20 Kai ken living in the city gathered in the outskirts of Machida City, Tokyo, Japan. The location was a park with a nice bush area to walk in which is rare in Japan, especially in the more urbanised areas. The Kais walked with their owners in a group behaving quite well with a lot of playing and sniffing. Hi there Maxcorp,
I wanted to use one of your photos for a breed description on the Klee Kai on Petguide.com, and can give you photo credit with a link back to your site or profile. Is this ok with you? Please let me know,
Amy

Thank you so much!
Oh my god! Your Kai ken is the most beautiful specimen I have seen! And the personality of that dog seems so bright, cheerful and smart! I work as pet feeding therapist in Finland and work with lots of animals. I've been thinking about getting a Kai ken breed dog, and because you have so beautiful Kai ken I must ask where did you get it from? Is it one of your local kennels, that breed Kai kens or some other way :)?

I hope you'll answer me, best regards gasolain

P.s. The most best times for you and your dog! Hope you two are well and live the life to the fullest!
