A set of wings dissected from the magicicadia emergence in Missouri, USA a couple years ago. It was the very rare year when both the 13 year and the 17 year cicada emerged simultaneously. I've kept a few specimens in storage and just got around to pinning a few for my personal collection, and removing the wings from the rest. The wings are in various states of disrepair, nearly all of which happened naturally before I acquired them. They were removed from the insect and laid out in my flatbed scanner. From there, they were arranged in photoshop.
I hear they make good model wings for faeries and the like. Hope that someone can find a good use for them. Enjoy.
